Embroker vs Risklytics

Compare a move into Embroker’s management suite with a fresh frontier-tech brokerage search at renewal.

Introduction

A technology startup reaching renewal may be comparing more than two premiums. Embroker's Management Insurance Suite changes the new-business route, while Risklytics offers a fresh brokerage submission built around the operation. For an existing Embroker customer, the decision includes whether to retain a legacy product, apply for a new one or change broker and insurance together. 9 27

Where Each Provider Shines

Where Embroker Shines

  • Its Management Insurance Suite brings several management coverages into one application, with technology E&O/cyber for eligible technology businesses. 9
  • Separate technology and law-firm packages group coverage around those businesses’ activities, subject to the offered policy terms. 17,16

Where Risklytics Shines

  • Risklytics says it prepares the application from your business description and website for your review. 27
  • Risklytics says it reviews technology E&O wording for AI exclusions before binding. 34

Key Differences Between Embroker and Risklytics

A New Suite Is Not an Automatic Renewal Conversion

Embroker says existing policyholders can continue renewing legacy management products, but moving into EMIS requires a new-business application. EMIS groups D&O, employment practices and fiduciary cover, with technology E&O/cyber for eligible technology businesses. Risklytics describes reviewing a submission, seeking insurer options and reading quote wording. Ask for proposals that distinguish continuing the expiring contract from replacing it; a new application is not evidence that prior coverage carries forward. 9 32

Changing Broker Can Affect Product Access

Embroker distributes proprietary programs through its own channel and Embroker Access. Its FAQ says a replacement broker outside Access may be unable to renew proprietary products, and leaving removes account-based certificate and policy-change functions. The Risklytics record establishes no Embroker Access relationship. A broker change therefore needs an explicit transition plan rather than an assumption that the same policy will follow the account. 10 4 30

Compare the Actual AI and IP Wording

Embroker advertises an AI endorsement for eligible technology E&O/cyber quotes, but the reviewed public documentation leaves its applicability to particular legacy or EMIS versions unresolved. Its retail and broker descriptions also differ on intellectual-property coverage. Risklytics' promise to review AI exclusions does not supply an alternative policy form. Put the proposed endorsement and exclusions beside each other and ask each broker to explain the treatment of your product's output and code. 18 12 11 34

What to Confirm in Quotes

  • Specify whether the offer is legacy renewal, EMIS or another insurer placement; identify the legal insurer and any prior-acts or reporting provisions. 9 29
  • Resolve broker-of-record authority, certificate access and renewal eligibility before transferring the account. 2 4
  • Confirm California placement separately: Embroker's published license list is not a product map, and Risklytics' California route is unconfirmed in the reviewed sources. 5 2 28

Service Comparison

Embroker vs Risklytics Insurance: documented services and availability

CriteriaEmbrokerRisklytics
Business role

Embroker Insurance Services LLC is the producer named in its public lawyers’ liability specimen. Florida’s corporate record lists Embroker, Inc. as the LLC’s authorized member. That identifies a corporate relationship, not the insurer on your policy. 15,7

Embroker distributes proprietary programs through its own channel and through other brokers using Embroker Access. Its terms also allow it to perform underwriting work for insurers under their guidelines; the issuing insurer bears the policy obligations. 10,2

The reviewed corporate record identifies Embroker, Inc. as an authorized member of the producer LLC; it does not establish Embroker, Inc.’s ultimate beneficial ownership. 7

Risklytics describes itself as a commercial insurance brokerage. Its current legal disclosures identify Risklytics, Inc., doing business as Risklytics Insurance Services, as the producer arranging coverage rather than the insurer. 28,29

Application process

The public quote-start screen asks for a company name and whether the company has a website. It links the terms and compensation disclosure before continuing. 26

An account alone does not appoint Embroker as your broker. Using its brokerage service requires a broker- or agent-of-record designation and exclusive work with Embroker for those services unless otherwise agreed. 2

An application may need additional underwriting information or be declined; a quote itself does not put insurance in force. 2

Risklytics says it drafts an application using your description and public business information, including your website, for you to check and sign. It advertises Slack and email placement updates. The application-preparation process and its speed were not tested. 27

Risklytics says it reviews the application with you, approaches suitable insurers and reads quote wording before making a recommendation. Its FAQ says the insurer binds after you accept a quote; timing varies with the coverage and operation. 32

Access to insurers

Embroker names Everspan Indemnity Insurance Company as the insurer for EMIS and its excess Tech E&O/Cyber program. Its lawyers’ professional liability program names Everest National Insurance Company. These are product-specific relationships, not one carrier for the entire catalogue. 9,13,14,15

The terms allow submissions directly to insurers or through wholesale brokers. No named issuing insurer or product-specific California placement arrangement was identified in the reviewed terms, market-access page or coverage pages. 29,30,34,36

Servicing and renewals

EMIS replaces the two previous management-liability offerings for new customers. Embroker says existing policyholders can continue renewing their legacy products; switching to EMIS requires a new-business application. 9

The FAQ describes downloadable policies and certificates for accounts where Embroker is the broker of record. Custom certificate wording may require a policy endorsement first. 4

Renewals vary: some policies renew through the insurer, while others need a fresh application and underwriting. Embroker describes reviewing the proposal, accepting it and paying or arranging financing; the new policy’s effective date controls when the renewal begins. 4

If you move to another broker, Embroker says you lose account-based certificate issuance and policy-change functions. A replacement broker outside Embroker Access may also be unable to renew proprietary products. 4

Risklytics says a broker remains on the account after placement and certificates can be issued against the binder. Its terms describe portal access to submissions, returned options and coverage records. The reviewed FAQ and contact page do not specify a renewal remarketing commitment or certificate turnaround guarantee. 32,29,33

Risklytics provides a contact form and email support, advertising an email response within a day. That is its stated response target, not a measured service result or emergency claims commitment. 33

Availability

Embroker publishes license numbers for all 50 states and Washington, D.C. That company list is not a product-availability map. Its terms make eligibility dependent on location and risk; this research did not independently verify the complete license list. 5,2,6

Risklytics publishes agency NPN 22311838 and Massachusetts resident license 3004393145. Its state table, dated September 10, 2026, also lists Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas and Washington. These are company-reported identifiers, not independently verified licenses or product eligibility. 28

California is absent from the reviewed agency-license table. A California-authorized producer and product route remain unconfirmed in the reviewed disclosures; this does not establish that Risklytics cannot arrange California coverage. Confirm the responsible producer, authority and insurer for your operation before relying on a quote. 28,29,37
