Evidence and Scope

Role: Broker. Scope: Embroker, Inc. and Embroker Insurance Services LLC as a U.S. digital insurance platform and producer; product-specific insurers include Everspan Indemnity Insurance Company and Everest National Insurance Company for named programs, not the entire catalogue.

Embroker's terms require designation as broker or agent of record and identify Embroker Insurance Services LLC as a licensed producer entity. Embroker, Inc. is treated as the platform or corporate entity, not as an insurer.[1]

Licensing

Embroker publishes producer numbers including California 0K44291 and Wisconsin 100190217, with state and risk variation qualifications. These are company-reported identifiers; a complete active state inventory was not independently established.[2][5]

Financial Strength

The reviewed materials identify product-specific insurers but provide no current exact-entity financial statements, policyholder-surplus evidence or AM Best action dates for Everspan or other issuing insurers. Platform or ownership information is not carrier financial-strength evidence.[3][1]

Risk Bearing

Embroker's terms say that, in some cases, it may act for unaffiliated insurers and provide underwriting services subject to those insurers' guidelines, while the insurer alone decides whether to offer, renew, cancel or non-renew coverage, sets the issuing company, and retains the policy obligations. EMIS identifies Everspan for that program, and the lawyers professional liability program identifies Everest National; the exact insurer remains product-specific.[1][3]

One carrier relationship is named for one program. Embroker’s announcement of 19 August 2026 states that Embroker’s Management Insurance Suite is underwritten by Everspan Indemnity Insurance Company and “backed by a coalition of A-rated reinsurers”, and identifies that suite as directors and officers, employment practices, fiduciary, and technology errors and omissions/cyber cover for qualifying technology firms. It is evidence about the Management Insurance Suite and nothing else: it does not describe the insurer behind any other Embroker product. The statement is Embroker’s own; Spot obtained no Everspan filing, program agreement or regulator record confirming the relationship, its capacity, its term or the states it covers, and the reinsurers are not named.[3]

The Texas register confirms a broad appointed panel and corroborates the other carrier Embroker names. It lists EMBROKER INSURANCE SERVICES LLC, NPN 17701177, with General Lines Agency licence 2043197 and Surplus Lines Agency licence 2246902 both Active, and 91 active appointments among 113 companies — including Everest National Insurance Company, which Embroker’s own materials identify for its lawyers professional liability program, alongside the Ace and Chubb companies, AXIS Insurance Company, Berkley Insurance Company, Arch Insurance Company, Clear Blue Insurance Company, CAMICO Mutual Insurance Company, Great American Insurance Company, The Hanover Insurance Company and the Travelers companies.[7][1]

Everspan does not appear on the Texas appointment list. An appointment register records admitted-market appointments and does not capture every route by which a program is written, so Spot draws no conclusion from that absence in either direction. Nor does an appointment establish which insurer writes a given product: Embroker’s real-estate program announcement of 26 May 2026 describes the professional liability, cyber and business owner’s coverages it added without naming an issuing insurer, and the declarations on an issued policy remain the only document that settles the question.[7][6]

Claims Service

Embroker directs account holders to policy claim instructions and routes cyber events to the policy hotline. Its website describes a written coverage-determination target, but no independent claims-performance evidence or payment deadline was reviewed.[4]

Regulatory Record

The reviewed evidence includes Embroker's published license list and terms but no completed five-year multi-state conduct result. Current California authority is not independently established, and this is not a clean-record finding.[5][2]

Evidence gaps

  • Full producer-license list and active status were not independently verified.
  • Exact carrier, form, admitted or surplus-lines status and financial evidence must be collected per product and quote.
  • No current AM Best or statutory financial evidence was collected for Everspan, Everest or other issuing carriers.
  • No completed five-year conduct result is available.
  • Broker-specific renewal, claims and certificate service levels remain product- and account-dependent.
  • Everspan’s role is scoped to the Management Insurance Suite by Embroker’s own announcement and confirmed by no counterparty filing, program agreement or regulator record; its capacity, term and state scope are unknown.
  • Appointment evidence was retrieved in Texas only; no Pennsylvania agency record was returned and no other state register was checked.
  • No issuing insurer is named for the real-estate, consultants or financial-professional programs, and the reinsurers behind the Management Insurance Suite are not named.
