Switching from Insureon? Compare your options with Spot

Insureon sells small-business lines through agents and brokers without naming every insurer upfront, so your Spot team starts from your declarations pages and compares proposals against them.

  • Every policy’s insurer and limits recorded
  • Several lines compared in one submission
  • One shared file for policies and renewal dates

Moving from Insureon

Insureon markets small-business insurance and quote routes through agent and broker channels. It lists lines from business owner’s policies and general liability to surety bonds and umbrella. Its public product pages don’t identify the insurer or terms for every policy, so your declarations page is where to find who issued yours.

Why businesses consider switching

  • 01

Your policies came from different insurers

Several policies with separate dates and contacts are hard to follow.

  • 02

You’ve taken on staff or vehicles

Workers’ compensation, commercial auto and umbrella often arrive as a business grows.

  • 03

    A contract needs different wording

Additional insured, primary and non-contributory, or waiver of subrogation terms may need a new form.

  • 04

    You prefer a named contact

Some owners want one team that knows their account when a question comes up.

How to switch without a gap

  • 01

    Collect dates for every policy

Each policy may end on its own date. Write them down so you know which replacements to bind first.

  • 02

Ask your account manager about renewal

Insureon suggests starting renewal work well ahead of the date, so tell them you’re shopping.

  • 03

Bind the replacement before cancelling any policy

Leaving Insureon doesn’t end your policies, since the insurers issued them. Keep each one active until its replacement is confirmed.

  • 04

Cancel through the agent or insurer

Your declarations tell you the insurer; Insureon or your account manager can start the request. Then swap in new certificates.

Common questions

How do I find which insurer issued my Insureon policy?

Your declarations page names the insurer on each policy. Send it to your Spot team, and we record the insurer, limits and renewal date, then compare proposals against those terms.

Will leaving Insureon cancel my policies?

No. The policies belong to the insurers that issued them and stay in force until they end or you cancel them. Binding the replacement first means you never have a gap.

Is Spot connected to Insureon?

No. Spot isn’t affiliated with Insureon or any company it belongs to, and we don’t speak for them.

Which policy should I move first?

Start with whichever renews soonest or carries a contract requirement. Your Spot team sequences the rest, so each replacement is bound before its older policy ends.

Does Spot work with my agent?

Yes. Spot works alongside agents and brokers, takes no commissions on premiums, and you can keep yours.
