Relm Insurance vs
Risklytics
Compare an AI-specific insurance product with a frontier-tech broker’s placement brief when existing liability policies may leave an AI gap.
Introduction
An AI business that already has liability insurance may be looking either to replace unsuitable policies or add protection around them. Relm markets several AI-specific structures; Risklytics offers brokerage placement and review of AI exclusions. The first decision is what gap needs addressing, because a replacement policy, an excess wrap and first-party response cover are not interchangeable. 6 22

Key Differences Between Relm Insurance and Risklytics
Identify Which AI Product Is Being Compared
Relm describes NOVAAI for AI developers' cyber and technology E&O risks, PONTAAI as an excess difference-in-conditions wrap, and RESCAAI for a business's own losses involving third-party AI. Risklytics' advertised wording review does not establish a standardized counterpart to those products. Ask the broker to explain whether it would seek a revised underlying policy or a separate AI contract, using the existing forms to define the problem. 7 8 9 22
An advertised wrap is not proof that it fills every AI exclusion. Its relationship with the underlying insurance must be read from the proposed wording. Similarly, a first-party response product should not be treated as general liability for customer claims. Compare the loss each proposed contract addresses before deciding whether it fills the identified gap. 8 9
Relm's Brand Includes More Than One Legal Role
Relm distinguishes its Bermuda insurer from its US producer/MGA operation and describes broker-led access. Risklytics is a placing brokerage. They could occupy different parts of a transaction, but no Risklytics access to Relm is established here. Relm's announcement naming Trisura concerns US digital-asset risks; it does not identify the issuer of a California AI policy. 2 3 10 17
California Requires More Than a Product Name
Relm publishes a California producer number but the reviewed public documentation leaves the AI insurer, placement status and placing broker unresolved. Risklytics' agency table does not list California, and its local route is also unconfirmed. Ask for the complete chain before treating an AI product announcement as an available solution for the company. 2 6 16
What to Confirm in Quotes
- Provide the existing policy forms and identify the precise AI exclusions or uncovered losses to address. 8 22
- Ask when any wrap responds, what underlying insurance must remain in force and whether the offer covers your own loss or third-party liability. 8 9
- Obtain the legal insurer, authorized California distribution route and claims-notice instructions for the selected product. 2 13 17
Service Comparison
Relm Insurance vs Risklytics Insurance: documented services and availability
| Criteria | Relm Insurance | Risklytics |
|---|---|---|
| Business role | Relm Insurance is a specialty insurance business serving emerging industries, including artificial intelligence. Its Bermuda insurer and US distribution operation have distinct roles. 1,3,2 Relm identifies Relm Insurance Ltd. as its Bermuda-regulated insurer and Relm US Insurance Solutions Inc. as a US licensed producer. It describes its US operation as a managing general agent (MGA), an intermediary with delegated insurance authority. The Bermuda entity says it deals only through appropriately licensed brokers. 2,3 | Risklytics describes itself as a commercial insurance brokerage. Its current legal disclosures identify Risklytics, Inc., doing business as Risklytics Insurance Services, as the producer arranging coverage rather than the insurer. 16,17 |
| Access to insurers | Relm’s fronting announcement names Trisura Specialty Insurance Company in connection with US digital-asset risks, including D&O, cyber, technology E&O and crime. A fronting insurer issues the policy while another insurer supplies risk capacity. This announcement does not establish Trisura as the issuer of every Relm product or of a California AI policy. 10 | The terms allow submissions directly to insurers or through wholesale brokers. No named issuing insurer or product-specific California placement arrangement was identified in the reviewed terms, market-access page or coverage pages. 17,18,22,24 |
| Application process | Relm provides an inquiry form requesting contact details, company name and location. Its US launch describes access through distribution partners, and the website states that Relm Insurance Ltd. deals through licensed brokers. The reviewed pages do not establish instant quoting or online binding. 11,3 | Risklytics says it drafts an application using your description and public business information, including your website, for you to check and sign. It advertises Slack and email placement updates. The application-preparation process and its speed were not tested. 15 Risklytics says it reviews the application with you, approaches suitable insurers and reads quote wording before making a recommendation. Its FAQ says the insurer binds after you accept a quote; timing varies with the coverage and operation. 20 |
| Availability | Relm’s legal page lists California insurance producer license 6013054 for Relm US Insurance Solutions Inc. This is company-reported and was not independently verified in a regulator record; that row does not list a California surplus-lines license. 2 The reviewed AI product, US MGA and legal pages do not establish the issuing insurer, admitted or surplus-lines status, or placing broker for a California NOVAAI, PONTAAI or RESCAAI policy. California product availability remains to be confirmed for the applicant. 2,3,6 | Risklytics publishes agency NPN 22311838 and Massachusetts resident license 3004393145. Its state table, dated September 10, 2026, also lists Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas and Washington. These are company-reported identifiers, not independently verified licenses or product eligibility. 16 California is absent from the reviewed agency-license table. A California-authorized producer and product route remain unconfirmed in the reviewed disclosures; this does not establish that Risklytics cannot arrange California coverage. Confirm the responsible producer, authority and insurer for your operation before relying on a quote. 16,17,25 |
