Risklytics vs WithCoverage

Compare frontier-tech placement with an outsourced risk-management engagement when a growing company must decide what risk to retain.

Introduction

A growing hardware company may be deciding not just which insurance to buy, but which risks to keep on its balance sheet. Risklytics describes finding coverage for frontier-tech operations. WithCoverage positions its team as an alternative to an internal risk-management function. Those briefs overlap on brokerage but can lead to different engagements and measures of value. 2 13

Key Differences Between Risklytics and WithCoverage

Start with the Operation or the Existing Program

Risklytics says it prepares an application from business information and reviews insurer wording. WithCoverage offers an initial audit of policies without requiring a broker change, comparing limits and premiums with benchmarks. An audit can frame questions about the existing program; a new submission can frame questions about changed operations. Ask what evidence each process will produce before authorizing placements or transferring the broker-of-record appointment. 1 8 15 21

Compare the Retained Risk, Not Only the Premium

WithCoverage's advisor materials discuss contract changes and larger deductibles as possible strategies. Its public savings figure has a spending threshold on the solution page and lacks a methodology establishing results for smaller accounts. Risklytics advertises no additional brokerage fee and insurer-funded commission, while WithCoverage describes a typical flat fee but permits commissions. A proposal that saves premium by leaving more loss with the company should be evaluated with the retained exposure and advisory charge visible. 22 19 16 5

Name the Work Included After Placement

WithCoverage describes a risk manager, claims specialists and attorney involvement, but expressly says it is not a law firm and does not provide legal services. Risklytics says a broker stays on the account; its reviewed materials do not establish a detailed renewal or claims mandate. Request a service schedule covering reviews, claims assistance and changes so the comparison is between defined work rather than team descriptions. 18 21 6 7

What to Confirm in Quotes

  • Show proposed deductibles and uninsured exposures alongside premium, advisory fees and commissions. 22 14 5
  • Distinguish a no-cost policy audit, broker transfer and ongoing service contract; they are not the same commitment. 15 21
  • Confirm the California producer and accepted activities. WithCoverage's license table is company-reported, and Risklytics' reviewed table leaves California placement unresolved. 24 14 2

Service Comparison

Risklytics vs WithCoverage Insurance: documented services and availability

CriteriaRisklyticsWithCoverage
Business role

Risklytics describes itself as a commercial insurance brokerage. Its current legal disclosures identify Risklytics, Inc., doing business as Risklytics Insurance Services, as the producer arranging coverage rather than the insurer. 2,3

WithCoverage combines commercial insurance brokerage, a risk-management team and software for growing businesses. You can have existing policies reviewed, compare insurance options and manage the program with its team. 12,13,20

The terms name With Coverage Inc. and With Coverage Insurance Services LLC. The latter also appears in a Mississippi corporate filing under insurance agencies and brokerages. These identify the business entities; the terms assign policy obligations to the issuing insurer. 14,25

Application process

Risklytics says it drafts an application using your description and public business information, including your website, for you to check and sign. It advertises Slack and email placement updates. The application-preparation process and its speed were not tested. 1

Risklytics says it reviews the application with you, approaches suitable insurers and reads quote wording before making a recommendation. Its FAQ says the insurer binds after you accept a quote; timing varies with the coverage and operation. 6

WithCoverage offers an initial policy audit without requiring you to leave your broker. It says the review compares existing coverage, limits and premiums with market benchmarks. Its technology FAQ puts the assessment at usually one business day after receiving policy documents, with longer timing for multiple entities or locations. 15

The public review form starts with contact details and then asks about the company, industry and annual insurance spending. It requests a conversation about your program; it does not display an insurance price. 15

The portfolio page describes appointing WithCoverage on existing policies by signing a broker-of-record letter. This changes your broker, not the policy itself. The page says the transfer has no additional charge. 21

For its portfolio offering, WithCoverage describes a digital application transferred into insurers’ applications and an advisor-prepared comparison of options. 21

At the time of research, the page linked as Privacy Policy displayed the terms-of-service text rather than a separate detailed privacy notice. Before sharing policy or claims files, request the applicable privacy notice and document-retention terms. 26

Fees and compensation

Risklytics advertises no application charge or additional brokerage fee, says carriers pay commission from premiums, and offers to disclose its earnings on request. Its terms separately allow carrier or wholesaler compensation and carrier-set taxes and policy fees. No buyer-specific premium or commission amount is published on the pricing page. 5,3

WithCoverage says it typically agrees a flat fee before work begins, so compensation does not rise with the premium. Its consumer FAQ also allows commission-based arrangements. The public pages do not give a standard fee amount. 16

The terms allow premiums, commissions, installment, service, cancellation and flat fees disclosed with the service. A flat advisory fee therefore should not be read as an all-inclusive insurance price. 14

The solution page advertises average savings of 20–40% for clients spending over $1 million annually on insurance and risk-management services. It does not provide the sample size, measurement period or calculation needed to establish a comparable result for your business. 19

Industry pages show the same 20–40% figure as annual policy savings without repeating the solution page’s spending threshold. The broader presentation does not establish savings for smaller accounts. 19,15,16

Servicing and renewals

Risklytics says a broker remains on the account after placement and certificates can be issued against the binder. Its terms describe portal access to submissions, returned options and coverage records. The reviewed FAQ and contact page do not specify a renewal remarketing commitment or certificate turnaround guarantee. 6,3,7

Risklytics provides a contact form and email support, advertising an email response within a day. That is its stated response target, not a measured service result or emergency claims commitment. 7

WithCoverage describes a named risk manager backed by attorneys and claims specialists, handling renewals, certificates of insurance and account questions. Its platform brings policies, claims, certificates, exposures and renewal communications together. 18,12

The portfolio page says WithCoverage is not a law firm and does not provide legal services. Confirm what its attorneys’ involvement includes. 21

The portfolio page promises no fee to end its broker-of-record appointment and data return on request. Confirm the service agreement and separate policy cancellation charges. 21,14

Its advisor recruitment materials describe contract changes and larger deductibles as possible strategies. Ask which risks the proposal leaves with your business. 22

Claims assistance

A dedicated claims-reporting procedure or detailed broker claims-assistance commitment was not found in the reviewed terms, FAQ and contact page. The terms distinguish Risklytics from independent carriers and wholesalers and disclaim control over their claim handling. Ask for the policy’s reporting contact and the broker’s role after a loss. 3,6,7

WithCoverage says its claims team, including attorneys, manages the claims process and recommends changes to reduce future exposure. That assistance is separate from the issuing insurer’s policy obligations and does not establish claims-payment speed or outcomes. 19,14
