Harper vs
Risklytics
Compare complex-commercial and frontier-tech brokerage for a business combining field crews with autonomous equipment.
Introduction
A field-service business adding autonomous equipment needs to explain both the people doing the work and the machines operating alongside them. Harper markets to complex commercial operations such as contractors and manufacturers. Risklytics focuses on robotics and autonomy. The useful comparison is how each broker would build the submission for a mixed operation, not which mentions AI more often. 8 20

Key Differences Between Harper and Risklytics
The Workforce and the Machine Need Equal Attention
Harper describes help classifying payroll and preparing workers' compensation audit information. Risklytics lists workers' compensation but places particular emphasis on explaining what a system does, its location and supervision. Give both brokers the same account of installation, maintenance and field operations, then ask how they separate employee duties from customer-facing product exposures. These service descriptions do not establish that one broker excludes the other's target industries. 10 22
Automation Does Not Replace Approval
Harper says AI assists document extraction, communications and follow-up, with licensed professionals and carriers reviewing final decisions. Risklytics says it prepares an application from business information for the buyer to check and sign. Both approaches still need accurate operational details. Ask who resolves a wrong classification or an omitted activity before the submission reaches an underwriter. 3 19
Harper's messaging terms say a text cannot bind or change coverage. Risklytics' FAQ describes insurer binding after quote acceptance. Status messages can help manage a deployment deadline, but they should not substitute for the written effective date and outstanding conditions. 2 24
Establish the Local Placement Route
The Harper record includes a verified Georgia agency license, not a verified California placement. Its site displays a California number whose current status was not independently confirmed. Risklytics' company table omits California and the reviewed research leaves its route unresolved. For a Bay Area operation, request the producer and insurer authority relevant to the actual lines rather than relying on either company's US marketing. 4 1 20
What to Confirm in Quotes
- Reconcile payroll duties, subcontracting and equipment supervision across applications so the insurer sees one consistent description. 10 22
- Ask who handles payroll audits and midterm operational changes, and which services are part of the engagement. 10 17 24
- Obtain the named carrier, California producer and written binding confirmation before dispatching the crew under a contract requiring insurance. 2 21 20
Service Comparison
Harper vs Risklytics Insurance: documented services and availability
| Criteria | Harper | Risklytics |
|---|---|---|
| Customer focus | Its advertised customers include contractors, restaurants, auto dealers, childcare and adult-care providers, manufacturers, and transportation businesses. Harper emphasizes operations that are difficult to place with an insurer. 8,13 | Risklytics markets to robotics, autonomous-vehicle, hardware, AI software and agent businesses, with additional industry pages for drones, space and defense contractors. Its emphasis is on explaining unfamiliar operations to insurance underwriters. 20,22 |
| Application process | The public quote form asks for your contact and business details, state, estimated annual revenue, business activity and requested coverage. It includes an existing-customer checkbox and a text-message consent choice. The visible form starts an inquiry; it does not display a final premium or issued policy. 1 The founders describe Harper Hub as internal software that helps complete forms, identify carriers and underwriters, and manage client communications. Their Y Combinator launch describes full autonomy as a direction for the business. 6 Harper’s privacy policy says AI extracts document information, drafts messages for review, organizes follow-ups and assists staff. It says licensed professionals and carriers review final decisions, including eligibility and binding. AI marketing therefore does not establish that a machine can approve your coverage on its own. 3 The privacy policy describes collecting applications, loss records and business documents. It also says customer communications and policy information train Harper’s own models, while its enterprise AI vendors state they do not train their foundation models on customer data. These are different uses of your information. 3 Harper’s messaging terms say a text cannot bind, change, renew or cancel insurance. Coverage takes effect only with written confirmation from Harper and the applicable carrier; quotes sent by text remain subject to underwriting and final documentation. 2 Harper’s February 2026 announcement advertises coverage within 24–48 hours. That is a company timing claim, not a deadline established for your application. Ask what information and approvals are still outstanding before arranging work around a proposed start date. 13 | Risklytics says it drafts an application using your description and public business information, including your website, for you to check and sign. It advertises Slack and email placement updates. The application-preparation process and its speed were not tested. 19 Risklytics says it reviews the application with you, approaches suitable insurers and reads quote wording before making a recommendation. Its FAQ says the insurer binds after you accept a quote; timing varies with the coverage and operation. 24 |
| Availability | Georgia’s regulator-linked lookup listed Harper Global Enterprises Inc. as an active resident principal agency, license 237101, when checked on September 15, 2026. It showed property, casualty and life qualifications and an expiration date of September 30, 2028. This is an agency license, not authorization for Harper to act as the insurer. 4 Harper serves US commercial businesses. Its website also displays California license 6017784, but that license was not independently verified in this research. The reviewed sources did not establish a complete current availability list by state and product. Confirm the writing insurer and availability for each business location. 3,1,5 | Risklytics publishes agency NPN 22311838 and Massachusetts resident license 3004393145. Its state table, dated September 10, 2026, also lists Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas and Washington. These are company-reported identifiers, not independently verified licenses or product eligibility. 20 California is absent from the reviewed agency-license table. A California-authorized producer and product route remain unconfirmed in the reviewed disclosures; this does not establish that Risklytics cannot arrange California coverage. Confirm the responsible producer, authority and insurer for your operation before relying on a quote. 20,21,29 |
| Servicing and renewals | For workers’ compensation, Harper says it helps classify payroll by the work employees perform and prepares information for premium audits. Its cost FAQ identifies payroll, job categories and claims history as pricing factors. An audit can reconcile the information used to price the policy; Harper’s service description is not a promise that your premium cannot change. 10,18 Under that referral program, Harper says it owns the account and handles quoting, placement, servicing, renewals and claims; the referring agent has no servicing duties. Its separate wholesale page offers white-label options. If another agent introduces you, clarify which arrangement applies and who will be your ongoing contact. 15,14 Harper’s public portal entry page advertises access to certificates, policies, payments and application status. Sign-in uses the email address associated with a Harper invitation; the page directs customers without an invitation to its service team. Features behind sign-in were not tested. 16 Harper describes ongoing policy management and annual coverage reviews. Its messaging terms list reminders about renewals, billing and premium finance, along with communications about changes and certificates. These service descriptions do not specify a guaranteed renewal price or a commitment to re-shop every policy. 17,2 | Risklytics says a broker remains on the account after placement and certificates can be issued against the binder. Its terms describe portal access to submissions, returned options and coverage records. The reviewed FAQ and contact page do not specify a renewal remarketing commitment or certificate turnaround guarantee. 24,21,25 Risklytics provides a contact form and email support, advertising an email response within a day. That is its stated response target, not a measured service result or emergency claims commitment. 25 |
