Beazley vs
Coverdash
Compare Beazley’s combined technology form with Coverdash’s brokerage workflow when buying through a software or banking partner.
Introduction
Insurance offered inside business software can look like another feature of that software. Coverdash supplies an embedded brokerage experience as well as its own website, while its terms assign insurance service to Coverdash rather than the host. Beazley is a specialty insurance group whose MediaTech is a particular technology, media and cyber offering. A founder encountering both names is comparing a purchasing relationship with an underwriting product, not necessarily two mutually exclusive insurers. 29 22 5 1

Key Differences Between Beazley and Coverdash
The Host Platform Does Not Identify the Insurer
Coverdash’s terms say the LLC provides brokerage and does not underwrite policies. Its carrier panel describes possible access, not the quotes a particular customer will receive. Beazley’s application names an insurance company, but its group disclosures still require the proposed insurer and placement basis to be checked. The records do not establish that Coverdash will quote Beazley for this account; ask which markets are actually being approached. 22 21 2 7
Using Coverdash’s brokerage service also involves a broker-of-record designation and exclusivity language for those services unless otherwise agreed. If you already have an agent submitting MediaTech, clarify responsibility before authorizing another placement process. Comparing coverage is different from appointing a new broker. 22 1
Compare the Technology and Cyber Sections Together
Coverdash separately markets technology E&O and cyber and says only some technology policies combine them. Beazley describes that combination in MediaTech. Request the actual proposal’s section schedule: an E&O quote without the intended cyber component should not be compared with a combined premium as if the scope were identical. 37 42 1
Beazley’s posted application warns that liability claims expenses reduce limits. Coverdash’s reviewed product pages do not establish a common insurer-specific form. Use the Beazley disclosure to frame the same defense-cost question for the Coverdash-arranged quote, not to conclude that Coverdash places more generous coverage. 2 37 22
Checkout and Renewal Carry Their Own Terms
Coverdash discloses a fully earned, nonrefundable Technology Access Fee without a public amount. Its renewal authorization allows renewal within a stated premium-change threshold when material terms do not change. Beazley’s public renewal application does not establish the same authorization or a guaranteed renewal. Compare the ongoing purchasing permissions separately from coverage and premium. 25 26 4
What to Confirm in Quotes
- Which organization is your broker, which insurer is proposed, and does the appointment replace any existing broker relationship? 22 2
- Are cyber and technology E&O combined in the actual quote, and what remains of the limit after defense spending? 37 2
- What is the Technology Access Fee, what renewal authority are you granting, and what written confirmation establishes effective coverage? Coverdash’s FAQ and payment terms describe different binding sequences; Beazley’s California MediaTech route also remains to be confirmed. 25 26 24 22 5
Service Comparison
Beazley vs Coverdash: documented services and availability
| Criteria | Beazley | Coverdash |
|---|---|---|
| Business role | Beazley is a specialty insurance group operating through insurance companies and underwriting businesses. Its US disclosures distinguish the insurance entities from Beazley USA Services, Inc., which reports doing business in California as Beazley Insurance Services under license 0G55497. This is a company disclosure, not an independently verified license record. 5,6,7 | Coverdash’s terms name Coverdash, Inc. and Coverdash Insurance Services, LLC; the LLC provides the insurance brokerage service. It arranges coverage with insurance companies and says it does not underwrite policies. 22 The reviewed corporate pages identify Coverdash, Inc. and Coverdash Insurance Services, LLC but do not establish their precise ownership relationship or a current controlling parent. 22,28 A partner can put Coverdash’s quote and policy-management experience inside its own website or software. Coverdash’s terms assign insurance solicitation and service to Coverdash rather than the host platform. 29,22 |
| Application process | Beazley describes MediaTech placement through third-party platforms or email. Its posted application requests the business’s services and products, employee count, US and non-US revenues, financial statements and expected business changes. A submitted application does not establish acceptance or an effective policy. 1,2 | Coverdash’s public application begins with an email-address field. Its FAQ says to have your business name, address, industry, annual revenue and employee count ready; it describes online quote comparison and purchasing, with same-day coverage for most policies. 30,24 The FAQ says payment follows choosing and binding a policy, but the terms allow collecting payment before binding and later insurer rejection or repricing. Confirm the effective date and binding confirmation before relying on coverage. 24,22 Using the brokerage service means appointing Coverdash as broker or agent of record and working exclusively with it for those services unless otherwise agreed. 22 |
| Fees and compensation | The reviewed MediaTech product page, application and US website terms do not disclose a buyer-specific premium, broker commission rate or fee schedule for a MediaTech placement. Obtain an itemized quote and the placing broker’s compensation disclosure. 1,2,6 | Coverdash discloses a Technology Access Fee on each purchased policy, in addition to policy charges, and calls it fully earned and nonrefundable. The disclosure does not give its amount. 25 Coverdash may receive insurer or payment-servicer commissions, performance-related contingent or supplemental commissions, and negotiated client fees. It also discloses affinity-referral and administrative-service income. 25 Coverdash’s help center identifies Ascend as its payment and premium-finance partner. It explains that financing pays the annual premium upfront while the customer repays in installments. Confirm the current lender, interest and fees in the payment agreement. 32,26 |
| Servicing and renewals | Beazley publishes a MediaTech renewal application. The reviewed renewal form and product page do not establish a guaranteed renewal, dedicated account manager, or turnaround commitment for policy changes. 4,1 Full Spectrum Cyber for small businesses combines Beazley Breach Response with security tools and services. Beazley describes incident-response coordination and discounted vendor services. Its myBeazley quote-and-bind route is for brokers handling accounts below $35 million in revenue and limits no higher than $5 million; these are cyber-route criteria, not MediaTech eligibility rules. 9 | The public sign-in page describes resuming applications, reviewing policies and billing requests, downloading certificates and contacting an account manager. Coverdash’s FAQ directs customers through their account to request coverage changes or cancellation. 31,24 Coverdash’s certificate guide describes self-service PDF certificates, selection of multiple policies and an e-commerce marketplace template. It says requests for agent assistance can take up to two business days. 33 For policies whose billing and premium payment it facilitates, Coverdash’s renewal authorization permits automatic renewal with a premium increase of up to 20% if no material coverage terms change. Larger increases or material changes require renewed consent. 26 The authorization permits necessary renewal paperwork, including a new premium-finance agreement. Customers can opt out or request cancellation through the dashboard, with processing time; the insurer still decides whether to renew. 26 |
