Chubb vs
Vouch
Compare Chubb’s technology underwriting with Vouch’s brokerage, keeping Corix program features and Hiscox’s acquisition distinct from the current Vouch broker.
Introduction
A software company that already has a Vouch-arranged program may be on Corix paper, another Vouch market, or a mix. Replacing that program with Chubb DigiTech is a carrier change. Asking Vouch to quote Chubb is a brokerage assignment. Hiscox’s Corix transaction does not make Hiscox the parent of Vouch Specialty Insurance Services. 53 10

Key Differences Between Chubb and Vouch
Brokerage and Corix Versus Chubb Paper
Vouch’s current disclosure identifies Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC as the brokerage that arranges policies; the named insurer takes the risk. That broker is distinct from Corix program paper and from Chubb-group issuers. 45 2
Corix is a program business distinct from the current Vouch broker. An old Vouch-branded policy, a Corix guide and a new Vouch proposal should not be treated as the same contract. 45 55
Technology Forms
Vouch’s technology practice lists technology E&O and cyber and can compare carriers. Corix’s public cyber/E&O page describes a combined form for professional and technology wrongful acts when that program is used. Chubb DigiTech is Chubb’s combined technology E&O, media and cyber product. Request the actual form; do not assign Corix features to every Vouch quote or to Chubb. 57 10
Contract Review and Renewals
Vouch offers coverage and contract-requirement reviews and coordinates multi-carrier renewals, including attention to retroactive dates. Chubb’s service path is the appointed agent plus Chubb account services. Continuity of prior acts when moving from Corix or another market onto Chubb needs an explicit tail or retro date answer. 62 65 30
Claims Advocacy Versus Insurer Desk
Vouch advertises claims advocacy without an extra client charge and separates advocacy from the insurer’s coverage decision. Chubb publishes insurer first-notice channels. Advocacy does not bind Chubb if Chubb is not the issuer. 66 33
What to Confirm in Quotes
-
Program identity: Corix, another Vouch market, or a Chubb affiliate on each line. 56 30
-
Defense inside limits and counsel terms on the actual D&O and cyber forms. 59 13
-
Retroactive dates before ending a Vouch/Corix claims-made policy. 65
-
Vouch commissions and payment charges on a Chubb placement. 45
Service Comparison
Chubb vs Vouch: documented services and availability
| Criteria | Chubb | Vouch |
|---|---|---|
| Business role | Chubb is the marketing name for subsidiaries of Chubb Limited, a Swiss holding company, that provide insurance and related services. U.S. commercial policies are issued by U.S.-based Chubb underwriting companies, not by Chubb Limited itself. 39,2,25 Commercial buyers typically reach Chubb through independent agents and brokers. Chubb appoints producers, operates agent portals, and identifies Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency, Inc. as the licensed agency that administers Chubb Access appointments. Surplus-lines products can be offered only through licensed surplus-lines producers. 29,30,2,38 | Vouch’s current disclosure identifies Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC as the entity that brokers insurance. Vouch Group, Inc. is the group name used in that disclosure. The brokerage arranges policies with insurers; the insurer named on each policy takes on the covered risk. 45,51 Corix identifies Corix Insurance Services, LLC as the former Vouch Insurance Services, LLC. That is a different entity from Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC, the broker named on Vouch’s current site. 55,45,46 Hiscox announced an agreement in August 2025 to acquire Corix Insurance Services, LLC and Vouch Insurance Company, while Vouch would remain an independent broker with a multi-year Hiscox distribution agreement. Hiscox’s 2025 annual report records the Corix acquisition closing on August 11, 2025. 53,54 Corix’s January 2025 legal disclosure still describes it as part of Vouch, even though the same page now displays Hiscox branding. Hiscox’s later annual report records the acquisition. The older ownership paragraph should not be used to describe the current Vouch brokerage. 56,54 |
| Coverage lines | For technology companies, Chubb markets DigiTech Enterprise Risk Management as a single policy addressing technology errors and omissions, media and cyber exposures, alongside Cyber ERM for cyber, privacy and media and Pro ERM for professional, media and cyber. Actual terms, limits and exclusions are in the issued form. 10,9,4 Chubb’s U.S. commercial catalogue for technology and other businesses also includes package policies (BOP, Benchmarq and Customarq combining property, business income and general liability), workers’ compensation, commercial auto, umbrella and excess, ForeFront management-liability parts (including D&O, employment practices, fiduciary and crime), property, inland marine, builders’ risk, equipment breakdown, ocean cargo, environmental/pollution, surety, product recall, and representations and warranties for large-account multinational programs. 4,7,11,15,25,27 | Vouch lists technology errors and omissions, cyber liability, directors and officers, general liability, workers’ compensation, employment practices liability, key person, crime, product liability and umbrella coverage for technology companies. The list describes options, not a package that automatically includes every line. 50 A public Corix Cyber and E&O application names United Specialty Insurance Company and offers selectable cyber, errors and omissions, and media liability coverage. Its first page describes claims-made liability coverage and says defense costs reduce the available limit unless the policy is endorsed otherwise. 58 Corix’s other documented programs include management liability with directors and officers, employment practices and fiduciary options, and a commercial package with general liability, property, hired and non-owned auto, and employee benefits liability options. 59,60 The reviewed Vouch pages and Corix materials did not establish a complete current policy form, endorsement set or insurer-by-product schedule for a new Vouch buyer. Ask for those documents with the proposal, especially when a quoted policy comes from a different insurer or program. 46,51,57,59,60,58,70 Corix’s cyber/E&O page describes system-failure business interruption and a form combining professional and technology E&O. It also warns that social engineering, AI activities and intellectual-property disputes can have conditions, sublimits or exclusions. 57 Corix’s management liability page describes an option to use defense counsel outside its panel, subject to conditions such as sharing costs. Crisis-management expenses have sublimits, and pre-claim assistance is an optional extension with its own terms. 59 |
| Application process | Appointed agents and brokers can quote, and for eligible risks issue, small-business and cyber accounts through Chubb Marketplace, and can use Cyber Central for an express cyber quoting path. Marketplace cyber quoting is described for eligible risks with less than $100 million in revenue; referred risks go to underwriters. Businesses seeking coverage are directed to an agent, a U.S. contact form, or chubbsmallbusiness.com for small-business quote inquiries. The reviewed public pages do not describe a general-public online bind for middle-market technology programs. 9,10,30,31,12 | Vouch’s public application starts with your legal business name, website, business address and location type, followed by your role and contact details. There is a separate sign-in path for an existing application or policy. 49 Vouch says its platform presents carrier options together, with differences in coverage, exclusions, endorsements and pricing explained by advisors. The reviewed pages do not promise a fixed number of quotes or a search of every insurer. 51 Vouch says many technology companies can arrange coverage within days, with smaller programs sometimes completed in minutes. Those are company timing claims. Its buying guide says coverage requires binding confirmation and the effective date, with underwriting and payment conditions satisfied. 50,52 |
| Access to insurers | The issuing insurer is a Chubb-group underwriting company named on the policy. Reviewed sources identify Federal Insurance Company as a primary U.S. underwriting company, ACE American Insurance Company as a U.S. issuing company on surety materials, and Westchester Fire Insurance Company or Westchester Surplus Lines Insurance Company (and, for some Westchester business, Illinois Union or other ACE paper) depending on the placement. Buyers should read the declarations rather than assume a single “Chubb” legal insurer. 30,25,28,36,41 | Corix’s disclosures name State National Insurance Company, Inc. for its admitted offerings and United Specialty Insurance Company for certain surplus-lines offerings. These are Corix program disclosures; they do not identify the insurer on every policy placed by Vouch. 56 Corix’s public management liability application names United Specialty Insurance Company. It offers directors and officers, employment practices and fiduciary liability selections, with a warning about claims-made liability and defense costs reducing the limit unless endorsed otherwise. 70 |
| Claims assistance | Chubb publishes 24/7 claim reporting at 1-800-CLAIMS-0, product-specific first-notice emails including cyberclaimreport@chubb.com and a 24/7 cyber incident hotline at 1-800-817-2665, plus a Small Commercial client portal for eligible policyholders to report claims and upload documents. Claims-page satisfaction figures are company-reported survey results and do not independently establish claims-handling quality for a given loss. 32,33,34,9,30 | Vouch advertises claims advocacy at no cost to its clients, with a dedicated advocate and help communicating with insurers. It describes assisting with reporting, documentation and follow-up. The issuing insurer decides coverage and pays covered claims. 66,67 Vouch’s help center links to a claim request form asking about the incident, its location, estimated loss and supporting documents. Your policy’s notice instructions remain important: confirm the correct recipient, deadline and any separate cyber incident-response contact. 68,69,67 |
