Does K&R Cover Evacuation?

Some policies include specific repatriation or evacuation expenses, but routine evacuation is not automatically covered.

Chubb’s U.S. K&R product summary lists “Emergency Political Repatriation Expenses” as an insuring clause. That is a named, policy-specific benefit—not proof that every evacuation, medical transport, or employee relocation is covered. Other contracts may use different terms or require a qualifying political event, threat, or covered person.

Check the clause definition, covered trigger, eligible expenses, geographic scope, who arranges the transport, and the limit or retention. Compare it with travel-assistance, war-risk, and medical evacuation benefits so the same expense is not assumed to fall under multiple policies. If evacuation is a key concern, have the insurer identify the exact endorsement and exclusions in the quote.
