Does K&R Cover Employees?
Many business K&R products insure employees, but their definitions may restrict which workers, locations, or events qualify.
Chubb describes its U.S. product as covering employees and their direct family members, while Travelers offers an organizational K&R application and sample policy forms. These materials show common product structures, but they do not establish coverage for every employee category or contractor. Seasonal workers, temporary staff, consultants, and affiliate employees may be treated differently.
Check the policy’s “insured person” definition, subsidiaries and affiliates, territory, work-related travel terms, and any scheduled-person restrictions. Review whether coverage is 24/7 or tied to business activity; Chubb advertises 24/7 protection for its own product, subject to its actual policy. Make sure the application’s employee count and locations match the organization at binding.
