At-Bay vs
Vouch
Compare At-Bay’s technology policy with Vouch’s technology brokerage while keeping the separate Corix and Hiscox entities clear.
Introduction
A startup replacing its first insurance package may want both a better technology-policy comparison and help coordinating the rest of the program. At-Bay describes a combined Tech E&O product. Vouch describes brokerage for technology companies and comparison of carrier options. Evaluate the particular policy against At-Bay, then separately decide what advisory work the company needs. 2 20 21

Key Differences Between at-Bay and Vouch
Similar Names Conceal Different Legal Roles
Vouch Specialty Insurance Services is the brokerage entity. Corix, formerly Vouch Insurance Services, is a separate business involved in the Hiscox transaction. That acquisition does not establish Hiscox as the brokerage’s parent. Ask which entity is producing, underwriting and issuing the offer before using corporate ownership to interpret it. 15 26 23
An Application Is Not the Offered Wording
The canonical Vouch record includes Corix product and application evidence, but those documents are not universal forms for every Vouch placement. Compare the actual insurer’s technology and cyber wording, including any selected modules. At-Bay’s public description is also a starting point for requesting policy documents, not a substitute for them. 28 30 2
Brokerage Review and Incident Coordination Can Coexist
Vouch describes contract and coverage review, renewal coordination and claims advocacy. At-Bay describes policy-linked security services and cyber claims coordination. These service descriptions concern different work and do not prove one claims experience is better. Nor do they establish that Vouch can place At-Bay for this account. 31 35 36 7 8
What to Confirm in Quotes
Ask for each legal entity, proposed form, California eligibility and the market alternatives actually considered. Keep brokerage compensation and payment costs separate from At-Bay security charges. If a Corix document is supplied, confirm that its issuer and version belong to this offer. 15 16
Service Comparison
At-Bay vs Vouch Insurance: documented services and availability
| Criteria | At-Bay | Vouch |
|---|---|---|
| Business role | At-Bay offers cyber, technology errors and omissions (Tech E&O), and miscellaneous professional liability insurance. Its disclosed producer, At-Bay Insurance Services LLC, is a property and casualty agency and surplus lines broker; its website says coverage is underwritten by non-admitted insurers. 1,5 | Vouch’s current disclosure identifies Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC as the entity that brokers insurance. Vouch Group, Inc. is the group name used in that disclosure. The brokerage arranges policies with insurers; the insurer named on each policy takes on the covered risk. 15,21 Corix identifies Corix Insurance Services, LLC as the former Vouch Insurance Services, LLC. That is a different entity from Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC, the broker named on Vouch’s current site. 25,15,16 Hiscox announced an agreement in August 2025 to acquire Corix Insurance Services, LLC and Vouch Insurance Company, while Vouch would remain an independent broker with a multi-year Hiscox distribution agreement. Hiscox’s 2025 annual report records the Corix acquisition closing on August 11, 2025. 23,24 Corix’s January 2025 legal disclosure still describes it as part of Vouch, even though the same page now displays Hiscox branding. Hiscox’s later annual report records the acquisition. The older ownership paragraph should not be used to describe the current Vouch brokerage. 26,24 |
| Access to insurers | At-Bay announced in August 2023 that eligible new E&S Cyber and Tech E&O business would be quoted on At-Bay Specialty Insurance Company paper. That historical announcement does not identify the insurer on a current California quote or establish the issuer for MPL. 11 The current MPL product page does not name its issuing insurer. A September 2023 announcement names United Specialty Company for MPL, but that historical reference is insufficient to establish the current contracting insurer or California placement. 4,13 | Corix’s disclosures name State National Insurance Company, Inc. for its admitted offerings and United Specialty Insurance Company for certain surplus-lines offerings. These are Corix program disclosures; they do not identify the insurer on every policy placed by Vouch. 26 Corix’s public management liability application names United Specialty Insurance Company. It offers directors and officers, employment practices and fiduciary liability selections, with a warning about claims-made liability and defense costs reducing the limit unless endorsed otherwise. 40 |
| Application process | At-Bay describes a broker workflow of completing an application, adjusting limits and retentions, reviewing documents, selecting an effective date, and satisfying contingencies and signature requirements before binding. Brokers can also email submissions to underwriting. An online quote is not itself bound coverage. 6,4 | Vouch’s public application starts with your legal business name, website, business address and location type, followed by your role and contact details. There is a separate sign-in path for an existing application or policy. 19 Vouch says its platform presents carrier options together, with differences in coverage, exclusions, endorsements and pricing explained by advisors. The reviewed pages do not promise a fixed number of quotes or a search of every insurer. 21 Vouch says many technology companies can arrange coverage within days, with smaller programs sometimes completed in minutes. Those are company timing claims. Its buying guide says coverage requires binding confirmation and the effective date, with underwriting and payment conditions satisfied. 20,22 |
| Servicing and renewals | At-Bay Stance offers vulnerability monitoring, fraud defense, employee security training and access to cyber advisors. Access is tied to the policy’s Embedded Security Fee and Endorsement; optional managed detection and response (MDR) is a separate purchase from At-Bay Security, LLC. 7 At-Bay markets Stance MDR for endpoints and email, plus managed extended detection and response (MXDR) spanning endpoint, email, identity and cloud. It says MDR is optional for insurance and available beyond its policyholders. Coverage enhancements and premium credits have qualifying conditions. 7 At-Bay describes broker dashboard access to active policies and renewals, with rapid and manual renewal paths. Its platform page says rapid renewals bind automatically 15 days before expiry; buyers should confirm enrollment, terms and change deadlines with their broker. 6 | Vouch offers a complimentary coverage review that it describes as identifying gaps and comparing a program with industry peers. It also offers reviews of insurance requirements in leases, customer agreements and funding arrangements. 31,32 Vouch says customers can request certificates of insurance through their account and include a third party in the request. A certificate summarizes insurance; the policy and any required endorsements determine that third party’s actual coverage. 33,34 Vouch says it coordinates documentation, communication and renewal cycles across carriers. Its renewal guide asks buyers to prepare updated financials, claims history and business changes, starting 30–60 days before renewal. That is preparation guidance, not a guaranteed service timetable or automatic renewal commitment. 21,35 |
