Commercial Property vs BOP?

A BOP packages commercial property with liability and often business-interruption coverage; a standalone property policy may cover only property-related exposures.

Commercial property describes a coverage line for physical business assets. A businessowners policy (BOP) packages several coverages, commonly property and general liability, with business-interruption coverage often included. A package can simplify placement, but eligibility and included terms vary. The label does not establish that flood, equipment breakdown, crime, cyber loss, or every income interruption is covered.

Compare the BOP declarations and forms against any separate property and liability quotes. Check which premises and assets are insured, limits, deductibles, causes of loss, business-income trigger, and optional endorsements. If your operations or property values do not fit the offered package, ask about separate policies and compare exclusions as well as headline limits.
