Does a business owner’s policy cover every risk my business has?
No. A business owner’s policy is a package whose included lines vary; NAIC says it typically combines property, business interruption, and liability, and typically excludes commercial auto and workers compensation.[1]
Compare the declarations and forms rather than relying on the package name. Ask whether product and completed-operations exposure, vehicles, employee injury, professional work, and customer data need separate terms or policies.[1]
Tell the broker what you sell and where you operate so the quote can be matched to your actual activities. The label alone does not establish eligibility or settle an uncovered exposure.[1]
