Does apparel testing or a certificate establish product insurance coverage?
No. CPSC apparel guidance concerns product safety requirements for covered categories; it does not establish an insurer’s coverage grant.[1]
Give the broker the garment type, intended age group, materials, supplier, importer, and any test or certificate records. The applicable testing question can differ by SKU and category.[1]
Then check the policy’s product description, territory, exclusions, limits, and completed-operations terms. Ask separately whether withdrawal or recall expenses appear in a quoted form.[4]
