Do I Need Insurance for Uber Eats in California?

Yes. Uber requires your own valid auto insurance. Tell your insurer you make paid deliveries and confirm permitted use and repair protection. California delivery liability, occupational benefits and health stipends have separate conditions; Uber’s passenger-trip repair terms do not apply to food deliveries.

Before Your First Uber Eats Delivery

Keep Your Own Insurance and Disclose Paid Deliveries

Yes. Uber's current delivery page requires valid personal automobile insurance meeting the state's minimum requirements. It says an additional delivery product is not required simply to sign up, but that does not establish your insurer's permission for the work or protection for your own car. Describe paid food, grocery and other orders, every selected app, the actual car and its drivers. Ask for a written answer identifying which policy terms or endorsements apply while waiting, traveling to pickup, shopping, carrying an order and returning afterward. If the existing policy does not insure the activity you need covered, discuss a suitable endorsement or other insurance arrangement before relying on the vehicle for income. Keep the insurer's answer with the declarations and effective dates. 34,2,13

The Ordinary California Minimum Is Not a Platform Limit

For ordinary auto policies issued or renewed from January 1, 2025, Vehicle Code section 16056(a)(2) sets $30,000 for one person's injury or death, $60,000 for multiple people's injury or death in one accident, and $15,000 for property damage. DMV's current insurance page confirms these amounts. They are a legal minimum for the ordinary policy, not a statement of your Uber Eats fleet-policy limit or a recommendation that this is sufficient protection for your finances. The statute also includes an older paragraph and a future 2035 increase, so read the applicable dates. Choosing a higher personal limit does not by itself establish delivery-use permission, while an app's liability summary does not eliminate the requirement to maintain your own insurance. 3,1,34

Read the Insured Driver, Vehicle and Use Together

Insurance Code section 11580.1 addresses insured vehicles, purposes of use, insured persons and permitted exclusions. It does not turn every private auto contract into delivery insurance. Tell the insurer about a changed car, another household driver, borrowed equipment or a different pattern of work and obtain the applicable answer before assuming an earlier permission extends to it. Uber lists examples of insurers that may offer delivery protection, but those examples are not your issued policy or a statewide promise from a particular insurer. Ask whether the specific endorsement covers all your delivery platforms, which periods it covers and which personal benefits remain excluded. Retain the application, written response, endorsement and renewal evidence so the actual arrangement can be established after a loss. 2,34,13

Get the Agreement Applicable to Your Account

The live U.S. general terms, modified October 12, 2026, preserve separate Platform Access Agreements and Technology Services Agreements and give relevant conflicting terms in those agreements priority. Get the delivery agreement and insurance disclosures actually applicable to your account. This review did not authenticate your accepted agreement or a current public California delivery master policy. An older public form does not establish the version you accepted or the coverage for a particular accident date. Check the contracting entity, service, applicable location and any addendum before relying on a clause. Keep your own agreement and disclosures with current insurance proof. The general terms and a platform summary provide context, but neither is a substitute for the actual insurance contract. 29,34

Delivery Liability and the California Requirement

The Current National Delivery Baseline Is $500,000

Uber's current delivery page describes enroute and on-delivery third-party liability up to $500,000, or more where required. For online availability it says the insurance may cover liability in amounts up to at least state auto minimums. Both descriptions require location and policy review. Do not repeat an older blanket $1 million delivery headline or treat the national $500,000 figure as the whole California answer. Liability concerns specified harm to another person or property when the driver is at fault; it does not establish repairs to your car. The page directs earners to Account, then Insurance in the Driver app for state coverage details. Obtain those California-specific documents rather than deriving a complete policy from the national illustration. 34,4

California’s DNC Liability Rule Is Conditional

Business and Professions Code section 7455(f)(1) requires a delivery network company to maintain at least $1 million per occurrence in automobile liability for third parties during engaged time in instances where the car is not otherwise covered by a policy complying with Insurance Code section 11580.1(b). That statutory requirement qualifies the national summary's reference to higher amounts where required. Read the otherwise-covered condition and ask how the applicable Uber Eats policy implements it. This guide does not infer a carrier, policy number, priority clause or unconditional first-dollar payment from the statute. The next statutory paragraphs separately address passenger TNC and charter-party services. Their reference to other insurance regimes is not a reason to replace the delivery rule with passenger limits. 4,2,34

Resolve Waiting-period Permission and Actual Cover

A car can be online and available before the driver accepts a delivery. Uber's national delivery summary refers to possible liability protection at state minimums in that interval, but the reviewed public material does not establish the exact California waiting policy and priority. Section 7455(f)(1) addresses engaged-time delivery liability; it is not the passenger TNC waiting-limit provision. Keep valid insurance and get the delivery-use answer for this interval. Ask which insurer handles a collision while you are available between orders and whether your own repair, uninsured-motorist and medical coverages continue. Do not label the whole shift an accepted delivery, or assume that a large later-trip liability amount covers a waiting-period loss to your car. 34,4,5

Keep Acceptance, Shopping and Completion Times

Section 7463 defines engaged time from acceptance of a delivery request to its completion, with exclusions for canceled requests, abandoned performance and specified fraud-prevention adjustments. Its delivery-services definition includes selecting, collecting or purchasing items in connection with an accepted delivery, and has its own geographic and order-count conditions. An accepted grocery order can therefore require a different timeline from waiting outside a store with no accepted request. Preserve the actual acceptance, shopping, pickup, cancellation and completion records. The statutory definition is a legal reference, not a substitute for the auto insurer's covered-activity wording or the facts of a crash. Ask the insurer to identify the particular period and definition used in its decision. 5,4,34

Ask for the Actual California Policy and Priority

The live delivery page supplied no public certificate links during this review; it directs earners to the Driver app's Insurance section. That is a limit of the reviewed public evidence, not proof that California coverage is absent. Request the current California delivery policy, certificate, insurer, covered persons and vehicles, limit, effective dates, priority and reporting instructions. Do not use Uber's passenger certificate as a delivery certificate. Ask the insurer to identify any primary-claim or denial requirement in the actual California contract rather than assuming a particular filing sequence. Notify the relevant insurers promptly and request the coordination provisions. A general promise to maintain insurance does not authenticate an individual driver or decide a particular claim. 34,29,4

Your Car, Customer Goods and Replacement Transport

Uber’s Delivery Page Excludes Its Own-car Repair Cover

Uber says the insurance described for delivery does not pay to repair your car during any delivery period. That is different from its passenger rideshare summary, which describes contingent comprehensive and collision subject to conditions. Do not apply the passenger $2,500 deductible as an Uber Eats repair benefit. Ask your own insurer which collision and comprehensive protections you bought and whether they expressly permit the delivery activity and periods. Liability insurance for damage you cause to another car does not fix your car. If another driver is responsible, a claim against that driver also depends on actual liability and insurance; fault alone does not prove your personal policy will pay. Plan for the deductible and time without the car using the coverage you actually have. 34,26,13

Uninsured Injury Protection Is Not Automatic Car Repair

California Insurance Code section 11580.2 sets detailed uninsured-motorist rules, including coverage choices, definitions and conditions. CDI's guide distinguishes injury protection, uninsured-motorist property damage and collision-deductible waiver. Its described property coverage includes a $3,500 limit and an identified-uninsured-driver condition, so an unidentified hit-and-run should not be promised the same repair outcome. Uber's delivery page does not establish a California delivery UM/UIM policy or a passenger-on-board benefit for the courier. Ask which protection your own policy actually contains and how paid deliveries affect it. A separate occupational accident program can cover specified injury losses without creating a vehicle-damage benefit or the same recovery as a UM/UIM policy. 8,13,34,28

Customer Goods Are a Separate Property Question

Damage to another road user's vehicle and damage to an order being carried are different losses. Insurance Code section 11580.1 permits specified property exclusions, including particular property in an insured's care or being transported. Do not assume the national third-party liability headline insures spoiled food, damaged customer goods or the value of every item in the car. Ask the relevant insurer which property is insured, who can claim, what exclusions apply and whether separate cargo or business arrangements are needed for the actual work. Give an accurate description of groceries, restaurant orders or other items. The statutory delivery-services definition helps identify the activity; it does not itself supply an insurance policy for the customer's order. 2,5,34

Check Loan Shortfall and Replacement-car Permission

A covered total-loss payment based on a car's value can differ from the remaining loan or lease balance. CDI explains gap protection and rental reimbursement as separate coverages, each requiring its actual terms. Check the lender's requirements, any purchased shortfall protection, rental limits and deductibles with delivery use disclosed. A payment toward a rental does not give permission to make paid deliveries in it: ask the rental company and insurer about that vehicle and driver. Uber's delivery summary does not establish an automatic replacement car or business-income benefit. Work out how you would handle repairs and missed working days, and keep the optional interruption product below separate from the policy that pays for physical damage. 13,34,30

Other Apps, Non-car Modes and Work Arrangements

Passenger and Delivery Trips Use Different Policies

Uber expressly says it maintains separate policies for rides and deliveries and that the type of trip at that moment determines the coverage. If you take passenger requests as well, do not transfer the passenger contingent repair description to food deliveries or assume delivery liability answers the passenger question. California PUC section 5433 supplies passenger TNC periods and requirements, while BPC section 7455(f)(1) addresses DNC delivery liability. Disclose both activities to your own insurer, and save the request type and timestamps at the incident. A single app icon does not make the policies identical. This guide's delivery snapshot does not determine commercial livery, Black service, local licensing or the insurance for a separate passenger operation. 34,26,25,4

Bicycle and Walking Delivery Need a Different Review

The current national delivery page says Uber does not maintain coverage for bicycles, e-bikes or walking unless law requires it. Read that with California's separate statutory occupational benefits and the specific program eligibility; do not convert an auto-liability summary into a conclusion that every California bicycle courier has no injury protection. Section 7463 includes several non-car ways of delivering, but vehicle classification and any compulsory insurance still depend on the actual mode. Confirm that the mode on your account matches what you use and obtain the applicable liability, equipment and injury terms. The checker withholds this ordinary owned-car snapshot for non-car selections. The four-wheeled vehicle condition in the optional interruption policy also prevents treating it as bicycle repair insurance. 34,5,4,28,31

Borrowed Cars and Fleet Work Add Eligibility Questions

An owner's permission to drive a borrowed car is not the same as the insurer's permission for paid deliveries or proof that you are an insured driver for the relevant coverage. Check the described car, insured persons, actual business use and any rental or fleet agreement. The optional VIC policy's car definition refers to vehicles owned, leased or rented by the participating provider and insured with that person as an insured. It also excludes specified employment and intermediary arrangements from its transportation-provider definition. A borrowed or fleet-supplied car therefore cannot simply inherit an ordinary owner's benefit quote. The checker retains the questions but withholds ordinary owned-car findings for borrowed, rented or commercial configurations until those distinct documents are reviewed. 2,31,34

California Occupational Injury Benefits for Couriers

Separate Auto Liability From California Occupational Cover

Uber's delivery page broadly says its described coverage does not pay for the courier's injuries, while its injury page expressly identifies automatic Uber-paid occupational accident protection for California rideshare and delivery earners. California section 7455 independently requires specified occupational and accidental-death insurance. These are separate products and triggers. Read the auto summary in that context rather than concluding that California couriers have no injury program or must purchase the national optional product. Uber's linked California Explanation of Coverage names Homeland Insurance Company of New York and includes Portier and other affiliates, but expressly says it is neither a certificate nor the policy. Obtain the current applicable master policy and schedule before treating a summary as proof of your insured status. 34,27,28,4

Use All-network Earnings and the Rate for the Injury Year

Section 7455(a)(2) requires disability payments equal to 66% of average weekly earnings from all network companies, calculated using the prior 28 days' earnings divided by four, with the specified statutory rate limits and duration. The 2026 DWC weekly reference minimum is $264.61 and maximum is $1,764.11 under the Labor Code section 4453 framework. Uber's linked January 2024 explanation prints earlier figures, but its footnote identifies that date and calls for calculation at injury using the statutory reference. Save statements from all delivery and passenger apps in the relevant 28 days. Ask the insurer to show the earnings base, percentage, applicable injury-year floor or cap, offsets and covered duration; the reference rates are not a guaranteed payment for every reported injury. 4,10,19,28

Waiting Online Is Not the Same as Every Online Activity

Section 7455 includes availability for requests within its online definition, as well as engaged time. Outside engaged time, the statute does not require occupational or death protection for an accident while you are engaged on another network company's platform or doing personal activities. It also addresses contribution where multiple network policies cover the same accident. Uber's explanation supplies additional eligibility and online definitions, including qualifications for waiting when the work uses a motorized vehicle. Preserve what you were doing and each app's status. A personal errand with the app left open is different from waiting for work, and overlapping apps do not promise duplicate full payments. Request the insurer's actual definition and factual reasoning if the status is disputed. 4,5,28

Check Medical Necessity, Waiting Periods and Proof

The law requires occupational medical-expense coverage up to at least $1 million. The live-linked Uber explanation describes covered medical services, medical necessity, commencement periods, specific sublimits and a lifetime maximum; its disability benefit also has proof, waiting-period and duration conditions. A headline maximum does not establish that every treatment or absence from work qualifies. Obtain the actual current policy and an explanation of the benefit used in your claim. Retain treatment records and medical evidence of inability to work, together with the app earnings information. This accident product does not establish cover for ordinary sickness, damage to a bicycle or car, or every loss of income. Separate those risks when deciding which protections you need. 4,28,27

Ask How Other Benefits and Work Status Affect the Claim

Section 7455(e) coordinates the specified occupational benefits with the referenced automobile-insurance provisions, and section 11580.2(h) addresses specified workers' compensation reductions. Uber's explanation also describes offsets, other insurance and recovery where another party pays the same loss. Disclose relevant payments and ask for the written calculation rather than assuming the health plan, occupational insurer and auto cover independently pay every bill. California sections 7451–7452.5 provide a conditional independent-contractor framework, including written-contract and termination provisions; they do not make occupational accident insurance identical to ordinary employee workers' compensation. Check the actual status, product and policy before selecting a claim route or applying a procedure meant for another type of benefit. 4,8,6,28

Survivor and Burial Payments Have Their Own Conditions

Section 7455(b) requires specified accidental-death protection for spouses, children or other dependents and incorporates Labor Code sections 4701 and 4702 for burial and death-benefit calculations. Those rules include dates and dependency categories, rather than one universal payment for every family. Uber's California explanation also refers to dependency evidence and the law at injury, and describes separate dismemberment or loss-of-use benefits with their own conditions. Do not use the national optional-injury product's family headline as the California courier benefit. Ask for the current schedule and calculation, including which dependent and injury-date provisions apply. These survivor benefits are separate from liability to another injured person and from the cost of replacing the delivery vehicle. 4,11,12,28,27

Optional Vehicle Interruption Coverage

The Actual Policy Includes Couriers, With Conditions

Uber links a Vehicle Interruption Coverage policy issued by Illinois Union Insurance Company, N11134993 001, effective April 13, 2026 until canceled. Its definitions include qualifying delivery network couriers, and a California surplus-lines notice is attached. It requires opt-in, qualification and paid premium; seeing an offer or having a delivery account is not enrollment. The schedule provides a $2,500 cash benefit per claim and at most two claims every 12 months. Uber's current summary advertises $0.031 per covered trip mile, while your certificate and app establish the actual effective time and arrangement. The declarations' initial premium entry is not a retail price quote. This optional contract does not satisfy auto-liability requirements or insure the repair bill itself. 31,30

Check the Cause and Period of the Disabling Event

The policy requires a covered accident during its eligible time, after coverage takes effect and completion of the first required trip, resulting in at least 24 consecutive hours in which the car cannot be operated. Its definition of accident includes theft only with a police report. Examples of excluded causes include acts of nature, fire, ordinary breakdown, windshield-only damage and specified cosmetic or legal-only non-disabling damage. A waiting-period event before an accepted request does not automatically qualify, nor does work for another company. Read the vehicle and driver conditions as well as the time definition. A car being unavailable for work is not enough on its own to establish this fixed benefit. 31,30

The Cash Benefit Has Separate Notice and Evidence Duties

The policy calls for notice through the dedicated Chubb claim channel as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after the accident. It requires damage and repair-shop evidence, with specific provisions for theft, unrepairable cars and leased or rented vehicles, and cooperation with further information requests. It provides payment within ten days after approval; that is not ten days from any report to Uber support. Keep the trip, enrollment and accident records and the repairer's inoperability assessment. Confirm that the separate VIC claim was received rather than assuming a liability claim opened every benefit. The insurer retains its stated determination of inoperability, and actual acceptance depends on the policy and claim facts. 31,30

Two Claims Can End Cover; Mileage Pay Is Different

Payment of the second VIC claim in the 12-month period terminates that driver's cover under the linked policy, with re-subscription unavailable until 180 days after reaching the limit. The contract also addresses ending of app access, voluntary termination, company cancellation and notices of changes. Check current enrollment rather than relying on an old premium deduction. The earnings floor and engaged-mile expense component under section 7453 are separate compensation rules; they do not reimburse a particular collision or change the optional policy. Likewise, the stipend for qualifying health coverage is not vehicle downtime insurance. Keep the pay calculation, car-repair insurance and interruption enrollment separate so you can identify which contract or rule addresses the actual loss. 31,7,4

Healthcare Stipend: Hours, Plan and Quarterly Proof

Use Engaged Hours for Each Company and Quarter

The California health subsidy uses average weekly engaged time on the network company's platform over the calendar quarter. Section 7454 provides the half tier at at least 15 but less than 25 hours, and the full tier at 25 or more; Uber's current California page uses those tiers. Logged-in waiting is not automatically engaged time under section 7463. Keep the company's hours statements and request the actual calculation when shopping, cancellation or another adjustment changes the total. The statute allows subsidies from more than one company, but it does not combine every app's hours into Uber's eligibility. This checklist does not calculate a subsidy from your selected delivery frequency or kilometres. 4,5,32

Check Subscriber Status and the Exact Health Plan

Section 7463 requires the driver to be the subscriber in a qualifying plan and excludes employer-sponsored, Medicare and Medicaid plans. Uber's current page asks for a qualifying individual plan and primary-subscriber status, and separately describes paid Medicare supplement plans as eligible when documents identify the supplemental product rather than core Medicare. That is Uber's stated procedure, not this guide's ruling on an individual's plan or statutory eligibility. Confirm the actual policy, subscriber and coverage dates before relying on a stipend to fund premiums. A dependent on another person's policy should not assume the subscriber requirement is met. Covered California's guide explains individual-market coverage and proof options; the checker does not collect your health documents or decide a plan application. 5,32,21

The Posted 2026 Amounts Are Quarterly

Uber's live California article lists $868.38 for the partial stipend and $1,736.76 for the full stipend per quarter in 2026. Covered California's June 2026 guide gives a $706 monthly bronze reference, and section 7463 defines the average ACA contribution as 82% of the reference. Three months of that contribution produce the full quarterly amount; half gives the partial tier. The state guide's monthly illustrations are rounded and should not be multiplied as if they were the exact quarterly payment. These are dated 2026 figures, not an assumption about 2027 or a promise to pay your whole premium. Verify the appropriate year, engaged-hours tier and approved enrollment proof for the actual quarter. 32,21,4,5

Upload Quarterly Proof and Track the Payment Dates

Uber directs proof to the Driver app's Documents Hub and asks for insurer, primary subscriber, member or policy identifier, start date and plan type, allowing matching additional documents when needed. Its separate proof page permits a start date before or during the quarter. Covered California describes a quarterly PDF proof document; do not assume an optional sharing arrangement for another app establishes Uber's verification. Uber lists April 15, July 15, October 15 and January 15 as proof deadlines for the preceding quarter. Section 7454(d) separately allows at least 15 calendar days for proof and requires a due payment within 15 days of quarter-end or proof submission, whichever is later. Retain receipts and ask about an apparent discrepancy; stipend decisions go to the network company, not the auto insurer. 32,33,22,21,4

After an Accident: Reports, Evidence and Deadlines

Open the Appropriate Claims Promptly

Uber's delivery page directs crash reports through the Driver app's Safety Toolkit and describes the Crash Center for insurer contact and status. Notify your own insurer too, and identify each relevant product: third-party auto liability, your vehicle, occupational injury and any enrolled interruption benefit. Uber's linked California occupational explanation describes written notice and proof within 90 days of loss, with qualifications; the separate VIC policy has a 30-day notice provision. These are not a single universal deadline for every claim, and the national optional-injury product's instructions should not be substituted for California's automatic product. Report promptly, obtain the actual applicable policy requirements and save confirmations. A general app conversation is not proof that every carrier has a complete claim. 34,14,28,31

Keep the Actual Activity and Every App’s Status

CDI's accident guide recommends gathering the other parties' insurance details, witness information and safe scene evidence. Add the delivery records that distinguish available time, accepted shopping, travel to pickup, completion, cancellation and personal activity. Record any passenger request or another app's accepted service at the same time. A screenshot after the crash can show a later app screen without proving the status at impact. Keep estimates, medical records, expenses and the prior earnings statements needed for an injury claim. Ask the insurer which definition and factual timestamp support its classification. The public summary, a legal engaged-time definition and an optional policy's eligible-period definition should each be checked, rather than assumed to be identical. 14,5,34,31

The DMV Report Is a Separate Task

Vehicle Code section 16000 generally requires a report to DMV within ten days when an accident involves injury or death, or damage exceeding $1,000 to any one person's property, subject to the statute's exceptions. The June 2025 SR1 instructions say the report is required regardless of fault and does not get replaced by a police or insurer report. Use the actual insurer, policy and vehicle details and keep your copy. An Uber crash submission is not the DMV report. A delivery collision can therefore involve an app notice, several insurance claims and a separate DMV filing with a different deadline. Use the current official instructions for the actual accident instead of assuming one report satisfies every requirement. 9,23,34

Preserve Uninsured-motorist Rights Through the Required Procedure

Insurance Code section 11580.2(i) includes particular procedures and time limits for specified uninsured-motorist claims, with routes involving an action, agreement or arbitration steps. Different provisions address underinsured or unidentified vehicles. An Uber report, an SR1 and a routine claim acknowledgment should not be assumed to preserve every legal right. If an uninsured-driver injury claim may apply, obtain prompt advice on the actual policy, facts and statutory process rather than waiting for the platform investigation to finish. Keep the correspondence and ask the insurer to identify the rule behind a deadline it gives you. This research does not calculate an individual's limitation period or establish entitlement from the fact that a driver was making a delivery. 8,14

Reviewing a Denial, Repair Valuation or Benefit Payment

Ask for the Policy Basis and Missing Proof

California regulation section 2695.5 supplies communication, acknowledgment and investigation duties, including specified 15-calendar-day provisions with conditions. Section 2695.7 addresses acceptance or denial after proof of claim, continuing notices and explanations of a denial's factual and policy basis. Its often-cited 40-day framework has exceptions, including specified disability and auto repair-bill claims; it is not a universal promise for all products in this guide. Keep the dates of notice, proof and requests, and ask what information is still needed. If cover is denied, request the actual exclusion or condition and how it applies to your activity. Distinguish an insurer decision from app support correspondence so a review addresses the correct issue. 15,16

Review the Valuation, Repairs and Deductible Recovery

For automobile claims, section 2695.8 addresses comparable-car total-loss value, itemized adjustments, applicable taxes and fees, repair-shop choice, estimates and specified towing or storage. Request the calculation and compare the actual car's model, options, mileage and condition. A conditional reopening procedure requires notice within 35 calendar days after receipt of payment or a final offer when a comparable car cannot be bought for the gross settlement amount, with detailed exceptions. Section 2695.7 separately addresses specified deductible recovery through subrogation. Keep listings, estimates, supplements and receipts to identify the disputed amount. These rules do not create cover where delivery use or a vehicle is excluded; first establish which policy is responsible. 17,16,13

Use the Standards Applicable to the Injury Product

CDI's February 2021 Proposition 22 implementation notice explains the disability-insurance classification of the required occupational medical and wage benefits. Applicable life and disability claims have additional standards in section 2695.11, including explanations of benefits, specified overpayment safeguards and preauthorization provisions. Emergency medical services cannot be made subject to preauthorization under that rule; its contested-claim provision refers to a particular statutory category. Do not apply an automobile property-claim timetable to every treatment or disability issue. Request the calculation, policy provision and reason for an offset or denial. The old notice's liability cross-reference differs from current section 7455(f), so use the current Act for the delivery-liability discussion and the correct product for claims handling. 20,18,4,28

Build a Specific File for the Appropriate Review Channel

For an unresolved auto-insurer issue, CDI's nonhealth Request for Assistance form asks for insurer, policy and claim identifiers, a clear problem description, the outcome sought and supporting records. Include the denial, policy terms, delivery chronology and disputed estimate or calculation. The instructions explain that active litigation can lead CDI to defer its regulatory investigation. A complaint does not replace a lawsuit, preserve every separate deadline or guarantee payment. Uber's health-stipend eligibility and proof disputes use the company's process; Covered California handles its own health-enrollment issues. Keep sensitive claim and medical records in the appropriate official channel. The public checker supplies a research checklist without collecting those records, buying insurance or submitting claims for you. 24,14,21,32
