Does commercial property automatically cover a robot or machine breakdown?
A machinery-breakdown form may address specified malfunctions; commercial property may exclude them. Check whether the quote names your robot, controller, or production line.[1]
Ask which failure modes count as breakdown, what resulting property damage or repair costs are addressed, and whether temporary equipment or extra expense is included. Do not infer downtime protection from the equipment schedule alone.[1]
Compare the proposed breakdown terms with the machine’s maintenance plan, supplier warranty, and replacement lead time. Those documents help define the buying question but do not amend the policy.[1]
