Does FAR set one insurance package for every defense business?

No. FAR 28.307-2 describes conditional contract provisions whose application depends on the contract context and work, including vehicle use for auto terms. Check the clauses in the actual solicitation and award.[1]

Before bidding, ask the contracting officer which provisions apply to your entity and whether a subcontract flow-down changes the requested terms.[1]

Give the broker the applicable clause and the stage it concerns; compare the requested limit and work description with the proposed form instead of assuming another award uses the same terms.[1][2]
