How Much Does Media Liability Insurance Cost?

There is no reliable universal price. Premium depends on the risk and quoted terms; request comparable quotes and review limits, retentions, and exclusions.

The reviewed specimen and application do not publish a general premium, so they cannot support a typical price or percentage. An insurer must assess the business and the requested terms. A historical CFC application asks about company revenue and revenue by activity, operations, online properties, contracts, claims, and other exposure details. These are examples of underwriting questions, not a complete or current rating formula.

Quotes can differ because the insured operations, requested limits, retention, coverage scope, and endorsements differ. A lower premium may come with narrower terms or a larger amount the business must pay toward a claim. There is no sound comparison unless the proposals use comparable limits, policy periods, retentions, fees, and exclusions.

Request the full quote and specimen wording, not just a premium figure. Compare defense-cost treatment, retroactive date, named insureds, exclusions, and taxes or fees. Disclose content channels, client work, revenue mix, and claims history accurately, and ask the broker to explain each rating assumption.
