How Much Does Builders Risk Insurance Cost?

Use project-specific quotes to set your budget; compare the premiums only when the values and coverage match.

Builders risk has no single standard price: the premium depends on project value, location, construction details, term, and selected coverage. US Assure’s guide lists completed value, project type, and optional protection as inputs for its program. Get insurer quotes based on the same project details to compare actual prices.

The location, construction details, stage of work, requested limits, and deductibles also belong in the submission. A price cannot be compared meaningfully if one quote insures only the new work and another includes an existing structure or additional options.

Provide each insurer the same project value breakdown, location, scope, completion stage, schedule, and coverage request. Compare the resulting premiums alongside limits, deductibles, exclusions, taxes, fees, and extensions. Ask how a change order or delay would affect the price and whether the policy needs an endorsement when values change.
