# Compare employee health benefits quotes with Spot

A lower premium can mean a costlier year for your team, so Spot compares what employees would pay each time they use care.

- Employee costs compared beyond the premium
- Network, prescription and referral rules checked per plan
- Keep your broker or switch, with no commissions on premiums

## How it works

- **Share your team and your budget.** Tell your Spot team your headcount, locations, who you want to offer coverage to and what you’d like to contribute, then send the proposals.
- **We compare what employees would pay.** Spot lines up premiums, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance and out-of-pocket limits so you see the cost of using the plan, not only of enrolling.
- **Check the networks your people use.** Ask your Spot team whether the doctors, hospitals and prescriptions your employees rely on sit in each plan’s network.
- **Choose and set up.** Pick the plan your team can use. Your Spot team helps you bind and works through enrollment, new hires and payroll deductions.

## What to compare

- **Employer contribution.** What you contribute compared with what employees pay in premiums, and what that leaves them paying when they use care.
- **Cost when care is used.** Deductibles, copayments, coinsurance and out-of-pocket limits.
- **Network.** The exact plan’s doctors, hospitals and prescription list, checked against the providers your employees use.
- **Out-of-network care.** How much more out-of-network care can cost, and where coverage for it is limited.
- **Restrictions.** Excluded services, referral and prior-authorization rules, and which expenses count toward the out-of-pocket limit.
- **Dental and vision.** Whether they’re included or offered separately, with their own limits and cost-sharing.
- **Plan funding.** Whether the plan is insured or self-funded, and, if self-funded, what stop-loss protection exists and where it responds.
- **Administration.** How enrollment, new hires, dependent changes and renewals will work.

## Differences to watch for

- **Cheaper premium, costlier year.** An employee who needs regular treatment can pay more under the plan with the lower premium.
- **Networks that don’t match your team.** A plan is only as useful as its network is for where your employees live and the doctors they see.
- **Self-funding risk.** Taking on medical claims yourself needs separate stop-loss protection with its own exclusions.
- **Add-on benefits priced apart.** Dental and vision may be included or offered separately, with their own limits and cost-sharing. Count them before you compare totals.

## Common questions

### What should I compare besides premium?

What employees pay when they use care, the network, and the plan’s restrictions. Spot sets those side by side.

### Can Spot help with enrollment?

Your Spot team helps you work through enrollment, new hires and renewals with the broker or administrator.

### Do I have to leave my broker?

No. Spot doesn’t replace brokers or earn commissions on premiums, so your broker relationship is yours to keep or change.

### Where do I find each plan’s details?

Each plan has a Summary of Benefits and Coverage. Spot reads it for you alongside the full terms.
