# WTW Reviews

WTW’s visible Trustpilot complaints concern delayed responses and pension or benefits administration; BBB lists four complaints marked unpursuable. These sources do not isolate U.S. commercial brokerage, and the large-commercial broker survey results are historical. [2](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.wtwco.com) [1](https://www.bbb.org/us/il/chicago/profile/insurance-companies/willis-towers-watson-0654-8000152/complaints) [3](https://www.jdpower.com/system/files/legacy/assets/2016244_large_comm_insurance_.pdf) [4](https://www.jdpower.com/system/files/legacy/assets/2017222_large_commercial_insurance.pdf) [6](https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/jd-power-2017-large-commercial-insurance-study)

WTW’s visible Trustpilot complaints mainly concern pensions and benefits, offering limited guidance on current business-insurance service.

## Review Score

Review Score: not enough ratings.

Each eligible numerical review or satisfaction rating is converted to a score out of 10, then given equal weight. Duplicate source URLs count once. A rating with a stated source, entity, product, or population limitation may be excluded from the average while remaining visible as source evidence. BBB letter grades use a rough academic GPA conversion: A+/A = 10, A− = 9.25, B+ = 8.25, B = 7.5, B− = 6.75, C+ = 5.75, C = 5, C− = 4.25, D+ = 3.25, D = 2.5, D− = 1.75, F = 0. This is our approximation, not BBB’s formula. Complaint measures and missing ratings are excluded. Sources can cover different products, locations and years; this is a source-rating average, not a pooled customer score. Spot Score is shown separately.

## Review Sources

### BBB

Status: Found. Checked 2026-09-29.

Scope: BBB's Willis Towers Watson Chicago business profile; four complaints displayed for the preceding three years as of 2026-09-29. All four are marked unpursuable; displayed matters concern pension or employee-benefit administration, not commercial insurance brokerage placements.

The page lists four complaints in three years and none closed in the last 12 months. Each displayed record is marked unpursuable, and the visible topics are pension or employee-benefit administration. BBB cautions that displayed complaints may not represent all submissions and advises considering company size and transaction volume. [1](https://www.bbb.org/us/il/chicago/profile/insurance-companies/willis-towers-watson-0654-8000152/complaints)

Complaints shown in last three years: 4; 0 closed in the last 12 months; BBB page reviewed 2026-09-29

### J.D. Power

Status: Found. Checked 2026-09-29.

Scope: US/Canada large-commercial broker customer-satisfaction studies, 2016 and 2017 editions. They do not describe present service or WTW small-business clients. The 2017 release reports 2,506 evaluations across the study, not a WTW-specific sample.

Excluded from Review Score: These are historical 2016 and 2017 large-commercial study results, not a current WTW customer rating; the study population and WTW respondent count do not establish a current representative brokerage average.

WTW scored 801/1,000 with three Power Circles in 2016 and 807/1,000 with two circles in 2017. These are distinct historical annual results, not a source conflict or current rating. Neither release supplies WTW's respondent count, so its study-specific n remains unknown. 2017 Overall Broker Customer Satisfaction Index: 807/1,000; 2 Power Circles (1,000-point index); 2017 study; 2,506 study-wide evaluations, WTW-specific count not stated

### Trustpilot

Status: Found. Checked 2026-09-29.

Scope: Global wtwco.com company page; nine reviews and a 2.1/5 TrustScore on 2026-09-29. Visible reviews predominantly concern pensions, employee benefits, investments or international consumer interactions; not a US commercial-insurance buyer sample.

Excluded from Review Score: The global WTW company-page sample includes pensions, benefits, investments and international consumer interactions; it does not measure current U.S. commercial insurance brokerage customers.

Trustpilot displayed 9 reviews, a 2.1/5 TrustScore and 5 reviews in the prior 12 months, with all visible rating shares at one star. Several visible complaints describe delayed pension or benefit administration and unanswered contacts. The company-level population mixes WTW businesses and jurisdictions, so the score is not a commercial-broker rating. [2](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.wtwco.com)

TrustScore: 2.1/5 from 9 reviews (Trustpilot 5-point scale); 9 reviews; Displayed 2026-09-29

### NerdWallet

Status: Not found in reviewed sources. Checked 2026-09-29.

Scope: NerdWallet business-insurance guide reviewed for a WTW/Willis Towers Watson provider review; this check did not audit every NerdWallet insurance page or archived edition.

The reviewed business-insurance guide did not establish a WTW provider review or WTW consumer-average metric. This is a bounded search result, not evidence that NerdWallet has never covered WTW. [10](https://www.nerdwallet.com/business/insurance/best)

### ConsumerAffairs

Status: Not found in reviewed sources. Checked 2026-09-29.

Scope: ConsumerAffairs insurance landing page and its visible categories, plus exact-name find for Willis Towers Watson. This did not search every current or archived ConsumerAffairs page and does not establish broad absence.

No WTW review or score appeared on the checked insurance landing page. No ConsumerAffairs consumer average is claimed. [9](https://www.consumeraffairs.com/insurance/)

### NAIC

Status: Not applicable. Checked 2026-09-29.

Scope: NAIC Consumer Insurance Search and closed confirmed complaint-index material concern insurers and insurance carriers; WTW's cited role is an intermediary/broker, not a risk-bearing insurer. No WTW groupwide insurer complaint index can be attributed.

NAIC's public company lookup is designed to identify insurers, licenses and insurer complaint information. The NAIC distinguishes consumer complaints about an insurer or agent, but its company complaint index described here is a carrier metric; this package does not assign it to WTW or any unverified underwriting carrier. ## Different Sources Measure Different Experiences

Trustpilot's wtwco.com company page showed nine reviews and a 2.1/5 TrustScore when checked on September 29, 2026. The visible reviews largely concern pensions, employee benefits, investment or international consumer interactions. This small, mixed-jurisdiction company-page sample is not a U.S. commercial-insurance broker sample, but its complaints about delayed responses and pension or benefits administration remain part of the visible evidence. [2](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.wtwco.com)

The Better Business Bureau's Chicago profile showed four complaints in the preceding three years and none closed in the preceding 12 months. All four displayed matters were marked unpursuable; the visible topics concern pension or employee-benefit administration. BBB says its displayed complaints may not represent all submissions and recommends considering company size and transaction volume. Complaint records are not customer ratings or insurance-policyholder review statistics. [1](https://www.bbb.org/us/il/chicago/profile/insurance-companies/willis-towers-watson-0654-8000152/complaints)

J.D. Power's 2016 study listed WTW at 801/1,000 with three Power Circles; its 2017 study listed 807/1,000 with two circles. These are separate historical annual results for large-commercial broker satisfaction in the United States and Canada. The 2017 study had 2,506 evaluations across all studied firms; neither source states WTW's respondent count, and neither result describes current service. [3](https://www.jdpower.com/system/files/legacy/assets/2016244_large_comm_insurance_.pdf) [5](https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2016-large-commercial-insurance-study) [4](https://www.jdpower.com/system/files/legacy/assets/2017222_large_commercial_insurance.pdf) [6](https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/jd-power-2017-large-commercial-insurance-study)

## What These Sources Do Not Establish

The reviewed NerdWallet business-insurance guide and ConsumerAffairs insurance landing page did not show a WTW commercial-broker review. Those bounded checks do not establish that either publisher has never covered WTW. NAIC's public company complaint information concerns named insurers; it cannot be assigned to WTW as a broker or used to infer the complaint history of an unidentified policy issuer. [10](https://www.nerdwallet.com/business/insurance/best) [9](https://www.consumeraffairs.com/insurance/) [7](https://content.naic.org/consumer) [8](https://content.naic.org/article/how-file-complaint-research-complaints-against-insurance-carriers)

## Spot Score

- Broker Spot Score: Not Rated. Assessed 2026-09-29; review due 2026-12-28.

## Limitations

- No current source reviewed gives a representative U.S. commercial-broker customer sample for WTW.
- Trustpilot covers the WTW website brand across businesses and countries; visible reviews are not limited to insurance brokerage.
- BBB complaint entries concern pension or employee-benefit administration, not commercial-policy placements, and all four shown are marked unpursuable.
- J.D. Power's broker study results are historical and study-wide sample sizes must not be reported as WTW respondent counts.
- The checked NerdWallet and ConsumerAffairs pages are not complete archives of either publisher's coverage.

## Questions to Ask

- Which WTW legal entity and team will handle this specific placement, and which insurer will issue the policy?
- Who will service the policy and receive a claim notice, and what responsibilities belong to WTW, an affiliate, and the insurer?
- What compensation, fees, or other remuneration apply to this engagement, and which entity receives each amount?

## Methodology

The baseline covers NerdWallet, J.D. Power, NAIC, Trustpilot, ConsumerAffairs, and BBB. Additional relevant sources may also appear. Platforms may cover different products, time periods, and groups of customers, and their metrics use different methods. The Review Score combines numerical ratings and approximate BBB grade conversions on a 10-point scale, with equal weight per source.

A BBB letter grade describes BBB’s view of a business; customer star ratings are a separate measure. An NAIC complaint index compares complaint volume with expected volume for a company’s size and is not a customer rating.
