# Does Workers’ Comp Cover Remote Workers?

A remote worker’s injury may qualify if it is work-related under state law and the employee is covered in that state.

Workers’ compensation compensability is decided under state law.

Document the task, location, and circumstances, and report the claim through the insurer. Confirm the employee’s state and home address are correctly listed; OSHA’s recordkeeping guidance does not decide insurance benefits.
