Contingent business-interruption coverage may cover a dependent supplier’s shutdown when the policy’s property-damage trigger is met.

A shutdown by itself may not qualify.

Check scheduled dependent properties, physical-damage triggers, waiting periods, restoration periods, and sublimits. Ask whether key suppliers and customers are included by name or category.
