Tech E&O may cover client losses from a covered software bug; fixing your own code or honoring a warranty may be excluded.

A bug may cause a client to allege a covered technology-service error, but not every defective release qualifies. The Hartford and Coalition list software failures as possible claims, subject to the actual wording and facts.

Check scheduled development, SaaS, maintenance, and update work, plus warranty, known-defect, failure-to-perform, and first-party repair exclusions. Ask how remediation, service credits, and consequential losses are handled.
