# Does IP Insurance Cover Licensing Disputes?

It may cover a licensing dispute if the policy includes that contract or IP claim; unpaid royalties and enforcement costs are not automatic.

A disagreement does not automatically make unpaid royalties, defense, or enforcement costs insured.

Tell the broker whether you need defense against a claim, payment of royalties, or enforcement of your rights. Check contractual-liability exclusions, scheduled rights, consent rules, and whether both parties are covered.
