# What Doesn’t Inland Marine Cover?

Inland-marine exclusions vary by form, including the property, covered causes, locations, and activities listed in the policy.

A contractors’ equipment floater, for example, may exclude aircraft, employee theft, mechanical breakdown, wear, or loss of use—and does not automatically insure cargo or installation work.

Review the property schedule, excluded causes, territory, and endorsements. Ask specifically about any exposure you need covered, such as flood, borrowed property, breakdown, or goods lent to others.
