# Does Inland Marine Cover Laptops?

A floater may cover laptops when its property definition and off-site terms include them; some forms require them to be scheduled.

A laptop may qualify as business property, but a contractors’ equipment floater may exclude ordinary computers unless the wording or schedule includes them. Commercial property may cover laptops at specified premises, with different terms for travel and home use.

Confirm that laptops are covered away from the office and in transit. Check portable-electronics limits, theft conditions, deductibles, and whether employee take-home use is included.
