# Does Inland Marine Cover Equipment?

An inland-marine floater may cover described equipment; rented, borrowed, and customer-owned items are not automatically included.

An inland-marine equipment floater can insure described equipment that moves between locations. It does not automatically cover every tool, rental, or customer-owned item; the form and schedule define what qualifies.

Match the schedule and limits to your equipment inventory. Check coverage at jobsites and in transit, theft terms, and how claims are valued. Ask whether newly bought, rented, borrowed, and customer-owned items are included.
