# Does General Liability Cover Products and Product Liability?

Often, for covered bodily injury or property damage caused by your product; CGL does not cover the cost of fixing or recalling the product itself.

It generally does not pay to repair, replace, inspect, or recall the product itself.

Tell the insurer what you make or sell, your role in the supply chain, and where you sell it. Check the products-completed-operations limit and exclusions; ask for product-recall coverage separately.
