# Does General Liability Cover Bodily Injury and Customer Injuries?

Usually yes for a customer’s covered accidental injury when your business is legally liable; medical-payments coverage may also pay some injuries without proof of fault.

Coverage A addresses liability claims; Coverage C may pay limited medical expenses for certain non-employee injuries without proving fault. The medical-payments limit and conditions are separate from liability coverage.

Employee injuries are handled differently, usually through workers’ compensation. Check the CGL definitions, exclusions, and both limits. If a contract requires a specific limit or additional-insured status, verify the issued policy and endorsement; a certificate alone does not add coverage.
