Employee theft and fraud may require separate crime coverage. A scheduled building and business personal property may have different limits. Cash, securities, property left outdoors, or property at another location can have narrower treatment or separate requirements. A forced-entry requirement or protective-safeguard condition may also matter.

Check the declarations and forms for theft, burglary, unexplained disappearance, property off premises, and any sublimits. Report the property values and locations accurately, and ask whether you need a crime policy for employee theft, money, or fraud; ordinary property theft coverage does not answer those separate risks.
