# Does Commercial Property Cover Property Off Premises?

List temporary and storage locations and check off-premises limits, territory, transit, and customer-property terms.

Sometimes, under a limited off-premises extension. Regularly mobile property, tools at worksites, or stock at another warehouse may need inland-marine coverage. A laptop temporarily taken to a meeting may be treated differently from tools kept at a job site or stock stored at a third-party warehouse. An extension can carry a smaller limit than the main business-property amount, and an unscheduled site can create uncertainty.

List all operating, storage, and temporary locations when quoting. Check the policy’s territory and off-premises limit, then ask whether inland marine is more suitable for property that regularly moves or stays at multiple sites. Confirm transit and customer-property terms separately.
