## Agent Guide

**What this page is:** Find the insurance requirements and coverage gaps for your apps, vehicle and state or province.

**Use this page when:** Use for source-backed rideshare and delivery insurance research. For a personalized checklist call check_driving_insurance with the actual jurisdiction, apps and vehicle.

**Limits (do not over-claim):**
- Separates legal minimums, platform-reported cover and unresolved policy questions; it does not establish policy entitlement, service availability or complete municipal licensing compliance.
- Sources have individual scope and review dates. Unknown evidence is not evidence that a policy or law does not exist.

**Provenance:** Official legislation, regulators, public auto insurers and platform documents; AI-assisted source review dated October 26, 2026.

# Driving Insurance Checker

Choose your region, apps, vehicle, ownership, commercial-driver status and personal comprehensive/collision coverage. The result separates your own insurance requirements, local rules, platform coverage periods and unresolved gaps.

Read-only MCP: connect to https://spot.insure/mcp and call check_driving_insurance. Use jurisdiction codes such as CA-ON or US-CA and platform IDs such as uber, uber-eats, uber-black, lyft, doordash, amazon-flex, instacart, grubhub and skip.

JSON API: POST https://spot.insure/api/driving-insurance. GET returns supported inputs.

Example: {"jurisdiction":"CA-ON","platforms":["uber-eats","doordash"],"vehicle":"car","comprehensiveAndCollision":"yes"}

The website API and MCP use the same deterministic source-backed rules, reviewed 2026-10-26. No account or personal identifying information is required. This is a coverage checklist, not proof that a policy insures the driver.
