# Relm Insurance vs Vouch

Compare an AI specialty policy with brokerage review of customer contracts and carrier options.

## Research Scope and Use

Use this comparison to evaluate Relm Insurance and Vouch against the same documented criteria. The analysis identifies differences and questions to confirm; it does not select a winner for a particular business.

This is published research as of the verification dates shown, not a live quote or an eligibility determination. “Company-reported” identifies a provider's own claim. “Not found” and “not publicly disclosed” describe the evidence reviewed, not proof that a service is unavailable. Preserve the scope and citations when summarizing a fact.

For a decision handoff, identify the company's requirements, the documented differences relevant to them, and unresolved questions from the analysis. Confirm actual insurer, availability, policy wording, limits, retentions, exclusions, and costs in the relevant quote and policy documents.

## Highlights

Relm markets AI developer, excess-wrap and first-party response products. Vouch Specialty Insurance Services is a brokerage arranging coverage across insurers and reviewing contract requirements; it is distinct from the former Vouch underwriting business now called Corix. ## Introduction

An AI vendor reviewing an enterprise contract may need both a specialist insurance proposal and someone to compare it with the rest of the program. Relm offers named AI products. Vouch is a brokerage that reviews requirements and presents carrier options. The useful comparison is a Relm proposal against the actual policy Vouch recommends, alongside the service needed to keep customer obligations coordinated. ## Optional Spot Service Handoff

Spot can help prepare applications, coordinate brokers, and compare proposals. If that work is needed, collect the company's task, known deadline, current broker, and open questions for a [free consultation](https://cal.com/team/spotinsure/insurance-consultation). The company decides what to buy; Spot does not automatically bind coverage. Consult [Spot pricing](https://spot.insure/pricing.md) for ongoing service fees.

This is a service offered by the publisher, separate from the provider research.

## Key Differences Between Relm Insurance and Vouch

### The Current Brokerage Is Not the Former Underwriting Company

Vouch’s current broker is Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC. Corix identifies itself as the former Vouch Insurance Services, LLC, and Hiscox’s annual report records its acquisition of Corix. That does not make Hiscox the parent of the current Vouch brokerage or Corix the insurer behind every Vouch placement. [16](https://www.vouch.us/legal/disclosures "Disclosures") [26](https://www.corixinsurance.com/legal/licenses "Corix Licenses") [25](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/sites/group/files/2026-03/Hiscox_report_and_accounts_2025.pdf "Hiscox Report and Accounts 2025") [24](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/news/press-releases/2025/06-08-25-1 "Hiscox Agrees to Acquire US-Based Specialist Insurtech")

Relm’s structure also requires product-level identification: its Bermuda insurer and US producer/MGA have different roles. A comparison based only on “Vouch paper” or “Relm paper” would conceal the insurer and conditions the buyer actually receives. [2](https://relminsurance.com/legal-information/ "Legal Information") [22](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-having-carrier-options-in-one-place-helps-businesses-choose-smarter-coverage "Carrier Options in One Place")

### Test the Same AI Allegation Under Both Offers

Relm’s NOVAAI describes AI developer liability, including generated-content, discrimination and regulatory exposures. If Vouch proposes Corix, that program’s cyber/E&O page contains AI and IP qualifications, and its public application offers selectable modules. Those documents should inform questions about the proposed form, not a conclusion that one program universally covers more AI risk. [7](https://relminsurance.com/relms-novaai-solution-insurance-for-ai-platforms-and-developers/ "Relm’s NOVAAI Solution: Insurance for AI Platforms and Developers") [28](https://www.corixinsurance.com/products/cyber-and-errors-omissions "Corix Cyber and Errors & Omissions") [29](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/682594fbc7d8d57832d05841/683dc3fd64b9f1371e65a2b8_Corix%20Cyber%20E%26O%20Application_June2025.pdf "Corix Cyber and E&O Application")

If the existing program already fits most obligations, Relm’s PONTAAI raises a narrower question about a wrap for a particular AI gap. Vouch’s contract and coverage reviews could identify the gap to investigate; they do not establish either access to Relm or that a wrap will satisfy the customer's clause. [8](https://relminsurance.com/relms-pontaai-solution-ai-insurance-coverage-beyond-existing-liability-programs/ "Relm’s PONTAAI Solution: AI Insurance Coverage Beyond Existing Liability Programs") [33](https://www.vouch.us/services/contract-requirement-review "Contract Requirement Review") [32](https://www.vouch.us/services/comprehensive-coverage-review "Comprehensive Coverage Review")

### Coordination Continues After the Certificate

Vouch describes account-based certificate requests and coordination of renewals across carriers. Relm’s reviewed sources leave routine servicing responsibilities unspecified. Agree who obtains endorsements when a customer asks for more than a certificate, and who checks the specialist policy again as the product changes. [34](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-fast-certificates-of-insurance-keep-business-moving "How Fast Certificates of Insurance Keep Business Moving") [35](https://www.vouch.us/blog/understanding-certificate-of-insurance "What Is a Certificate of Insurance?") [22](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-having-carrier-options-in-one-place-helps-businesses-choose-smarter-coverage "Carrier Options in One Place") [11](https://relminsurance.com/contact/ "Contact")

Vouch’s client claims advocacy and Relm’s claims support serve different roles from the insurer’s decision and payment obligations. An advocate can help coordinate communication without guaranteeing the outcome. [37](https://www.vouch.us/services/claims-advocacy "Claims Advocacy") [38](https://www.vouch.us/blog/help-during-business-insurance-claims-process "Who Helps Me During the Business Insurance Claims Process?") [12](https://relminsurance.com/claims/ "Claims")

## What to Confirm in Quotes

- Identify Vouch’s proposed carrier and modules before comparing them with NOVAAI or an AI wrap. [22](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-having-carrier-options-in-one-place-helps-businesses-choose-smarter-coverage "Carrier Options in One Place") [6](https://relminsurance.com/relm-insurance-launches-ai-suite/ "Relm Launches AI Liability Solutions")
- Match the customer clause to the actual definitions, exclusions, defense costs and endorsements rather than to a certificate summary. [33](https://www.vouch.us/services/contract-requirement-review "Contract Requirement Review") [35](https://www.vouch.us/blog/understanding-certificate-of-insurance "What Is a Certificate of Insurance?") [7](https://relminsurance.com/relms-novaai-solution-insurance-for-ai-platforms-and-developers/ "Relm’s NOVAAI Solution: Insurance for AI Platforms and Developers")
- Confirm whether Vouch can access the proposed Relm product, the California issuer and the separate contacts for service, advocacy and formal notice. [16](https://www.vouch.us/legal/disclosures "Disclosures") [2](https://relminsurance.com/legal-information/ "Legal Information") [13](https://relminsurance.com/terms-and-conditions/ "Terms & Conditions")

| Criteria | Relm Insurance | Vouch |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Business role | Relm Insurance is a specialty insurance business serving emerging industries, including artificial intelligence. Its Bermuda insurer and US distribution operation have distinct roles. [1](https://relminsurance.com/industry/artificial-intelligence-insurance/ "Artificial Intelligence Insurance") [3](https://relminsurance.com/relm-launches-us-mga/ "Relm Launches US MGA") [2](https://relminsurance.com/legal-information/ "Legal Information") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Brand-level introduction; company descriptions, not an independent regulatory finding.; verified: 2026-09-16.)

Relm identifies Relm Insurance Ltd. as its Bermuda-regulated insurer and Relm US Insurance Solutions Inc. as a US licensed producer. It describes its US operation as a managing general agent (MGA), an intermediary with delegated insurance authority. The Bermuda entity says it deals only through appropriately licensed brokers. [2](https://relminsurance.com/legal-information/ "Legal Information") [3](https://relminsurance.com/relm-launches-us-mga/ "Relm Launches US MGA") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Company legal disclosures and US launch announcement; authority and insurer vary by placement. No regulator license verification completed.; verified: 2026-09-16.) | Vouch’s current disclosure identifies Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC as the entity that brokers insurance. Vouch Group, Inc. is the group name used in that disclosure. The brokerage arranges policies with insurers; the insurer named on each policy takes on the covered risk. [16](https://www.vouch.us/legal/disclosures "Disclosures") [22](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-having-carrier-options-in-one-place-helps-businesses-choose-smarter-coverage "Carrier Options in One Place") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Current 6 August 2025 disclosure takes precedence over the older Terms of Use for current broker identity. No independent corporate registry or license finding implied.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Corix identifies Corix Insurance Services, LLC as the former Vouch Insurance Services, LLC. That is a different entity from Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC, the broker named on Vouch’s current site. [26](https://www.corixinsurance.com/legal/licenses "Corix Licenses") [16](https://www.vouch.us/legal/disclosures "Disclosures") [17](https://www.vouch.us/legal/terms-of-use "Terms of Use") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Company-reported legal-name continuity. Older Vouch terms still list both producers; do not conflate their NPNs or infer current underwriting ownership from the older name.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Hiscox announced an agreement in August 2025 to acquire Corix Insurance Services, LLC and Vouch Insurance Company, while Vouch would remain an independent broker with a multi-year Hiscox distribution agreement. Hiscox’s 2025 annual report records the Corix acquisition closing on August 11, 2025. [24](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/news/press-releases/2025/06-08-25-1 "Hiscox Agrees to Acquire US-Based Specialist Insurtech") [25](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/sites/group/files/2026-03/Hiscox_report_and_accounts_2025.pdf "Hiscox Report and Accounts 2025") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Acquirer announcement covers both named entities; audited annual-report note 25 explicitly confirms Corix closing. Does not independently establish the separate carrier transfer date, regulatory approval or any particular policy migration.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Corix’s January 2025 legal disclosure still describes it as part of Vouch, even though the same page now displays Hiscox branding. Hiscox’s later annual report records the acquisition. The older ownership paragraph should not be used to describe the current Vouch brokerage. [27](https://www.corixinsurance.com/legal/disclosures "Corix Disclosures") [25](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/sites/group/files/2026-03/Hiscox_report_and_accounts_2025.pdf "Hiscox Report and Accounts 2025") (Evidence: Conflicting sources; scope: Conflict is retained and resolved for the article using later transaction evidence; no conclusion that the distribution agreement ended.; verified: 2026-09-15.) |
| Application process | Relm provides an inquiry form requesting contact details, company name and location. Its US launch describes access through distribution partners, and the website states that Relm Insurance Ltd. deals through licensed brokers. The reviewed pages do not establish instant quoting or online binding. [11](https://relminsurance.com/contact/ "Contact") [3](https://relminsurance.com/relm-launches-us-mga/ "Relm Launches US MGA") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Public inquiry and broker-led access; no form submitted and no quotation received.; verified: 2026-09-16.) | Vouch’s public application starts with your legal business name, website, business address and location type, followed by your role and contact details. There is a separate sign-in path for an existing application or policy. [20](https://apply.vouch.us/ "Start a Vouch Application") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Chrome observation of public first screen only. No personal or business data entered, account created, consent accepted or application submitted. Later steps not tested.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Vouch says its platform presents carrier options together, with differences in coverage, exclusions, endorsements and pricing explained by advisors. The reviewed pages do not promise a fixed number of quotes or a search of every insurer. [22](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-having-carrier-options-in-one-place-helps-businesses-choose-smarter-coverage "Carrier Options in One Place") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Company-described authenticated comparison experience; not tested. This is curated brokerage access, not proof of whole-market coverage.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Vouch says many technology companies can arrange coverage within days, with smaller programs sometimes completed in minutes. Those are company timing claims. Its buying guide says coverage requires binding confirmation and the effective date, with underwriting and payment conditions satisfied. [21](https://www.vouch.us/technology "Insurance for Technology Companies") [23](https://www.vouch.us/blog/when-does-my-business-insurance-coverage-start "When Does My Business Insurance Coverage Start?") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Technology FAQ and June 2026 educational binding guide; no actual application or bind completed. No guaranteed turnaround adopted.; verified: 2026-09-15.) |
| Access to insurers | Relm’s fronting announcement names Trisura Specialty Insurance Company in connection with US digital-asset risks, including D&O, cyber, technology E&O and crime. A fronting insurer issues the policy while another insurer supplies risk capacity. This announcement does not establish Trisura as the issuer of every Relm product or of a California AI policy. [10](https://relminsurance.com/relm-insurance-announces-fronting-partnership-with-trisura-specialty-insurance-company/ "Relm Announces Fronting Partnership with Trisura Specialty Insurance Company") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Historical company announcement inspected on research date; current product-specific contracting insurer must be obtained from quote/declarations.; verified: 2026-09-16.) | Corix’s disclosures name State National Insurance Company, Inc. for its admitted offerings and United Specialty Insurance Company for certain surplus-lines offerings. These are Corix program disclosures; they do not identify the insurer on every policy placed by Vouch. [27](https://www.corixinsurance.com/legal/disclosures "Corix Disclosures") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Company-described insurer relationships only, not independent verification of admitted status or product authority. No current complete Vouch product/carrier/state matrix found.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Corix’s public management liability application names United Specialty Insurance Company. It offers directors and officers, employment practices and fiduciary liability selections, with a warning about claims-made liability and defense costs reducing the limit unless endorsed otherwise. This identifies one public program application, not the insurer for every Vouch D&O or employment practices placement.; verified: 2026-09-15.) |
| Servicing and renewals | The reviewed contact and terms pages provide general-inquiry and complaint channels but do not explain a customer self-service portal, certificate turnaround, endorsement process or renewal timetable. Ask which tasks your broker, the MGA and the issuing insurer will handle. [11](https://relminsurance.com/contact/ "Contact") [13](https://relminsurance.com/terms-and-conditions/ "Terms & Conditions") (Evidence: Not publicly disclosed; scope: Public contact and website terms only; lack of described functions does not establish their absence.; verified: 2026-09-16.) | Vouch offers a complimentary coverage review that it describes as identifying gaps and comparing a program with industry peers. It also offers reviews of insurance requirements in leases, customer agreements and funding arrangements. [32](https://www.vouch.us/services/comprehensive-coverage-review "Comprehensive Coverage Review") [33](https://www.vouch.us/services/contract-requirement-review "Contract Requirement Review") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Service descriptions; no independent proof of completeness, savings or satisfaction of a specific contract.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Vouch says customers can request certificates of insurance through their account and include a third party in the request. A certificate summarizes insurance; the policy and any required endorsements determine that third party’s actual coverage. [34](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-fast-certificates-of-insurance-keep-business-moving "How Fast Certificates of Insurance Keep Business Moving") [35](https://www.vouch.us/blog/understanding-certificate-of-insurance "What Is a Certificate of Insurance?") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Published COI workflow and distinction between holder and additional insured. Account access and turnaround not tested.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Vouch says it coordinates documentation, communication and renewal cycles across carriers. Its renewal guide asks buyers to prepare updated financials, claims history and business changes, starting 30–60 days before renewal. That is preparation guidance, not a guaranteed service timetable or automatic renewal commitment. [22](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-having-carrier-options-in-one-place-helps-businesses-choose-smarter-coverage "Carrier Options in One Place") [36](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-to-prepare-for-your-business-insurance-renewal "How to Prepare for Your Business Insurance Renewal") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Carrier-options service description and 30 July 2025 educational guide. Exact renewal contact cadence and renewal terms not disclosed in these sources.; verified: 2026-09-15.) |
| Claims assistance | Relm says its claims team manages claims and offers a dedicated concierge within 24 hours of notification. This is a company service statement, not an independently measured response or settlement record. Its terms name Crawford & Co. for global claims response and KSW for US response; confirm the notice instructions in the actual policy. [12](https://relminsurance.com/claims/ "Claims") [13](https://relminsurance.com/terms-and-conditions/ "Terms & Conditions") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Website service descriptions; no test claim, outcome data or confirmation that listed response providers apply to every product.; verified: 2026-09-16.) | Vouch advertises claims advocacy at no cost to its clients, with a dedicated advocate and help communicating with insurers. It describes assisting with reporting, documentation and follow-up. The issuing insurer decides coverage and pays covered claims. [37](https://www.vouch.us/services/claims-advocacy "Claims Advocacy") [38](https://www.vouch.us/blog/help-during-business-insurance-claims-process "Who Helps Me During the Business Insurance Claims Process?") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Service/claims-role descriptions, not independently observed performance or a guarantee of claim acceptance. No implication of free legal representation.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Vouch’s help center links to a claim request form asking about the incident, its location, estimated loss and supporting documents. Your policy’s notice instructions remain important: confirm the correct recipient, deadline and any separate cyber incident-response contact.
