# Newfront vs Vouch Cyber Insurance

Vouch's partner Corix names two issuing insurers despite an unresolved ownership question; Newfront names no insurer at all.

## Research Scope and Use

Use this comparison to evaluate Newfront and Vouch for Cyber Insurance against the same documented criteria. It identifies differences and questions to confirm; it does not select a winner for a particular business. Offering claims are what each provider publishes about this line unless marked otherwise. “Not found” describes the evidence reviewed, not proof that a feature is unavailable. Confirm the insurer, policy wording, limits, retentions, exclusions and cost in an actual quote.

## Summary

## Key Differences in Cyber Insurance

### Naming (or Not Naming) an Insurer

Vouch's cyber placements often go through its program partner Corix, whose current legal disclosures name State National Insurance Company or United Specialty Insurance Company as the issuing carriers, though the same disclosures still describe Corix as part of the "Vouch Group" even after a 2025 acquisition moved Corix to Hiscox. Newfront's cyber page does not name any insurer for its placements at all.

Corix's current legal disclosures say its proprietary products are issued by State National Insurance Company or United Specialty Insurance Company. Corix's disclosures still describe it as "a wholly-owned member of the Vouch Group," but Hiscox's August 2025 press release states Hiscox acquired Corix Insurance Services, LLC from Vouch, Inc., with Vouch remaining an independent broker under a multi-year distribution agreement — so the ownership language on Corix's disclosures page appears outdated. Either way, these named insurers apply to Corix-branded products specifically, not to every Vouch cyber placement. [12](https://www.corixinsurance.com/legal/disclosures "Legal Disclosures") [13](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/news/press-releases/2025/06-08-25-1 "Hiscox agrees to acquire US-based specialist insurtech") (Evidence: Conflicting sources; scope: Corix disclosures page (dated effective January 1, 2025) and the Hiscox press release; no single insurer is established for all Vouch cyber business..)

[5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk")

### Who Each Is Built For

Vouch markets cyber liability to technology companies across AI, SaaS, eCommerce, fintech, hardware and crypto, citing more than 6,000 companies in that segment. Newfront's page speaks generally about "evolving cyber risk and increased underwriting standards" without naming a segment or company count. [10](https://www.vouch.us/technology "Insurance for Technology Companies") [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk")

### Starting the Process

Vouch routes prospective buyers to its own online "Get Started" application, and its partner Corix separately offers a downloadable application for brokers to begin an appointment process. Newfront instead starts with a direct consultation through its Cyber Risk practice, led by a named practice head, rather than a self-service form. [11](https://www.corixinsurance.com/products/cyber-and-errors-omissions "Cyber and Errors & Omissions") [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk")

## What to Confirm in Cyber Insurance Quotes

- Ask Vouch whether your policy would be issued through Corix specifically, and if so, which of the two named insurers applies. [12](https://www.corixinsurance.com/legal/disclosures "Legal Disclosures")
- Ask Newfront to name the insurer for your placement, since none is published. [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk")
- Ask Vouch how the recent change in ownership at Corix affects servicing or claims handling for your policy. [13](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/news/press-releases/2025/06-08-25-1 "Hiscox agrees to acquire US-based specialist insurtech")
- Confirm published limits with both; neither Vouch's nor Newfront's reviewed pages disclose cyber policy limits. [10](https://www.vouch.us/technology "Insurance for Technology Companies") [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk")

## Offering Details

| Criteria | Newfront Cyber Risk Insurance | Vouch Cyber Liability Insurance |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Role in This Line | Newfront's Cyber Risk practice brokers cyber coverage: it assesses risk, negotiates coverage and placement, and provides claims consultation. It does not underwrite the policy itself. [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Cyber Risk offering page..) | Vouch is a broker, not an insurer, for cyber liability. It lists Cyber Liability among the core coverages it places for technology clients, and one of its named program partners for cyber is Corix, an insurance program administrator. [10](https://www.vouch.us/technology "Insurance for Technology Companies") [11](https://www.corixinsurance.com/products/cyber-and-errors-omissions "Cyber and Errors & Omissions") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Vouch's Technology practice page and Corix's cyber product page..) |
| Issuing Insurer | The reviewed Cyber Risk page does not name the insurer or insurers that would issue a cyber policy placed through Newfront. [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk") (Evidence: Not publicly disclosed; scope: Cyber Risk page as read on 2026-09-23; carrier depends on the specific placement..) | Corix's current legal disclosures say its proprietary products are issued by State National Insurance Company or United Specialty Insurance Company. [12](https://www.corixinsurance.com/legal/disclosures "Legal Disclosures") [13](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/news/press-releases/2025/06-08-25-1 "Hiscox agrees to acquire US-based specialist insurtech") (Evidence: Conflicting sources; scope: Corix disclosures page (dated effective January 1, 2025) and the Hiscox press release; no single insurer is established for all Vouch cyber business..) |
| Who It’s For | The Cyber Risk page does not state a company-size or industry eligibility threshold; it speaks generally about clients facing "evolving cyber risk and increased underwriting standards." [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk") (Evidence: Not publicly disclosed; scope: Our Approach section; general framing, not a stated eligibility rule..) | Vouch markets cyber liability to technology companies across AI, SaaS, eCommerce, fintech, hardware and crypto, saying it is trusted by more than 6,000 companies in that segment. [10](https://www.vouch.us/technology "Insurance for Technology Companies") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Vouch's Technology practice page; not an underwriting appetite guarantee for any specific applicant..) |
| Coverage Features | Newfront lists Cyber Liability Insurance, Data Breach Insurance, Technology Errors and Omissions (E&O), Business Interruption, Network Security Liability, and Cyber Extortion and Ransomware Coverage among its cyber Key Coverages. [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Cyber Risk page Key Coverages list; the page treats technology E&O as part of the same practice..) | Corix describes its cyber coverage as typically including incident response, forensic investigations, legal defense, regulatory fines and notification costs, plus business interruption and reputational-harm coverage. [11](https://www.corixinsurance.com/products/cyber-and-errors-omissions "Cyber and Errors & Omissions") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Corix's cyber and errors & omissions product page; the description is general, and the buyer's actual policy form and exclusions govern the placement..) |
| Limits and Retentions | Newfront's cyber page does not publish limits or retentions. It says its technology team provides proprietary modeling data to inform decisions on limits aligned with a client's risk exposure and tolerance. [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Subject Matter Expertise section; describes an internal modeling service, not published limit figures..) | Neither the Vouch nor the Corix pages publish cyber policy limits, sublimits or retentions. [10](https://www.vouch.us/technology "Insurance for Technology Companies") [11](https://www.corixinsurance.com/products/cyber-and-errors-omissions "Cyber and Errors & Omissions") (Evidence: Not publicly disclosed; scope: Pages checked on 2026-09-23..) |
| Risk Services | Newfront says dedicated cyber security specialists advise on security-improvement opportunities and current cybersecurity practices against phishing, ransomware and DDoS threats, and that its Tech E&O and Cyber team negotiates bespoke policy language. [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Subject Matter Expertise section of the cyber page..) | Vouch says it benchmarks a technology client's cyber exposures and aligns coverage with enterprise security demands from customers and investors, citing that only about 25% of companies under $250 million in revenue carry cyber insurance. [10](https://www.vouch.us/technology "Insurance for Technology Companies") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Vouch's Technology practice page; benchmarking methodology and the cited statistic are company-reported..) |
| How to Apply | You start a cyber placement by requesting a consultation through Newfront's Cyber Risk page, which is led by Jennifer Wilson, Head of the Cyber Practice. [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Cyber Risk page call-to-action and Leadership section; no online quoting or binding described..) | Corix's cyber and E&O product page offers a downloadable application and directs brokers to start an appointment process; Vouch's own site routes prospective buyers to its online "Get Started" application flow. [11](https://www.corixinsurance.com/products/cyber-and-errors-omissions "Cyber and Errors & Omissions") [10](https://www.vouch.us/technology "Insurance for Technology Companies") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Corix product page and Vouch homepage navigation..) |
| Claims Support | Newfront says it provides "hands-on" claims consultation for cyber breaches, including pre- and post-loss advocacy and resolution consultation to prepare clients on breach-response protocol before a claim. [5](https://www.newfront.com/cyber-insurance "Cyber Risk") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Claims Consultation section of the cyber page; a described service, not a claims-outcome statistic..) | Not described in the reviewed sources. |
