# Beazley vs Vouch

Compare Beazley’s specialist products with Vouch’s current brokerage when a funding round adds board and customer insurance requirements.

## Research Scope and Use

Use this comparison to evaluate Beazley and Vouch against the same documented criteria. The analysis identifies differences and questions to confirm; it does not select a winner for a particular business.

This is published research as of the verification dates shown, not a live quote or an eligibility determination. “Company-reported” identifies a provider's own claim. “Not found” and “not publicly disclosed” describe the evidence reviewed, not proof that a service is unavailable. Preserve the scope and citations when summarizing a fact.

For a decision handoff, identify the company's requirements, the documented differences relevant to them, and unresolved questions from the analysis. Confirm actual insurer, availability, policy wording, limits, retentions, exclusions, and costs in the relevant quote and policy documents.

## Highlights

Beazley offers MediaTech and Execuguard products. Vouch Specialty Insurance Services brokers startup and growth-company coverage, separately from the Corix business acquired by Hiscox. A Vouch proposal requires its own carrier and form identification. ## Introduction

A funding round can bring both a board’s directors-and-officers request and a customer’s technology-liability requirement. Beazley offers separate MediaTech and Execuguard products. Vouch brokers coverage for growing technology companies and offers reviews of funding and customer insurance requirements. This is a comparison of product options with a brokerage engagement, not evidence that Vouch’s own name identifies the insurer. ## Optional Spot Service Handoff

Spot can help prepare applications, coordinate brokers, and compare proposals. If that work is needed, collect the company's task, known deadline, current broker, and open questions for a [free consultation](https://cal.com/team/spotinsure/insurance-consultation). The company decides what to buy; Spot does not automatically bind coverage. Consult [Spot pricing](https://spot.insure/pricing.md) for ongoing service fees.

This is a service offered by the publisher, separate from the provider research.

## Key Differences Between Beazley and Vouch

### The Current Vouch Broker Is Separate from Corix

Vouch’s current disclosure names Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC as broker. Corix identifies itself as the former Vouch Insurance Services, LLC, a different entity. Hiscox’s annual report records its acquisition of Corix; the transaction announcement says Vouch would remain an independent broker. Do not treat Hiscox as the parent of Vouch Specialty or use an old Vouch-branded document to identify the current issuer. [22](https://www.vouch.us/legal/disclosures "Disclosures") [32](https://www.corixinsurance.com/legal/licenses "Corix Licenses") [31](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/sites/group/files/2026-03/Hiscox_report_and_accounts_2025.pdf "Hiscox Report and Accounts 2025") [30](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/news/press-releases/2025/06-08-25-1 "Hiscox Agrees to Acquire US-Based Specialist Insurtech")

Vouch describes comparing carrier options, but that does not establish a Beazley placement or a fixed number of alternatives. If the proposal includes Corix, its applications and insurer disclosures apply to that program, not every Vouch placement. Request a legal-entity schedule across the board and technology policies. [28](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-having-carrier-options-in-one-place-helps-businesses-choose-smarter-coverage "Carrier Options in One Place") [33](https://www.corixinsurance.com/legal/disclosures "Corix Disclosures") [2](https://www.beazley.com/globalassets/product-documents/application/digital-mediatech-application-form.pdf "Beazley Digital Media Tech Application")

### Two Requirements May Use Different Limits

Beazley’s Execuguard describes private-company D&O, employment practices and fiduciary options with separate or shared limits. MediaTech addresses another set of liabilities. Vouch’s technology list spans these business needs, but is not an automatically bundled contract. Ask how the proposed limits interact and which entities, directors and subsidiaries are insured after the financing. [10](https://www.beazley.com/en-us/products/executive-risk-usa/execuguard-combined-epl-do-and-fiduciary "Execuguard (Combined EPL, D&O, and Fiduciary)") [1](https://www.beazley.com/en-US/products/small-business-solutions-usa/mediatech-for-small-businesses/ "MediaTech for Small Businesses") [27](https://www.vouch.us/technology "Insurance for Technology Companies")

### Advisory Help Has a Different Job from Underwriting

Vouch offers contract review, certificates and claims advocacy; it also explains that the insurer decides coverage. Beazley’s notice guidance directs the insured to the policy’s reporting requirements. An advisor can help organize the funding-close checklist, but a certificate or review does not substitute for an endorsement or timely notice. [39](https://www.vouch.us/services/contract-requirement-review "Contract Requirement Review") [41](https://www.vouch.us/blog/understanding-certificate-of-insurance "What Is a Certificate of Insurance?") [44](https://www.vouch.us/blog/help-during-business-insurance-claims-process "Who Helps Me During the Business Insurance Claims Process?") [8](https://www.beazley.com/en-us/notify-a-claim/ "Notify a Claim")

Vouch discloses commissions, possible performance compensation and payment charges. Compare these with the total charges on the Beazley placement rather than assuming the brokerage’s complimentary review makes the entire transaction free. [22](https://www.vouch.us/legal/disclosures "Disclosures") [38](https://www.vouch.us/services/comprehensive-coverage-review "Comprehensive Coverage Review") [1](https://www.beazley.com/en-US/products/small-business-solutions-usa/mediatech-for-small-businesses/ "MediaTech for Small Businesses")

## Service Comparison

Beazley vs Vouch: documented services and availability.

| Criteria | Beazley | Vouch |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Business role | Beazley is a specialty insurance group operating through insurance companies and underwriting businesses. Its US disclosures distinguish the insurance entities from Beazley USA Services, Inc., which reports doing business in California as Beazley Insurance Services under license 0G55497. This is a company disclosure, not an independently verified license record. [5](https://www.beazley.com/en-us/legal-information-en/ "Legal Information") [6](https://www.beazley.com/globalassets/dwp/beazley-terms-of-use/ "US Web Services Terms of Use") [7](https://www.beazley.com/globalassets/product-documents/beazley-us-contingency-toolkit.pdf "US Contingency Toolkit") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: US group and disclosed insurance-services entity; no regulator verification or product-specific producer appointment established.; verified: 2026-09-16.) | Vouch’s current disclosure identifies Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC as the entity that brokers insurance. Vouch Group, Inc. is the group name used in that disclosure. The brokerage arranges policies with insurers; the insurer named on each policy takes on the covered risk. [22](https://www.vouch.us/legal/disclosures "Disclosures") [28](https://www.vouch.us/blog/how-having-carrier-options-in-one-place-helps-businesses-choose-smarter-coverage "Carrier Options in One Place") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Current 6 August 2025 disclosure takes precedence over the older Terms of Use for current broker identity. No independent corporate registry or license finding implied.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Corix identifies Corix Insurance Services, LLC as the former Vouch Insurance Services, LLC. That is a different entity from Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC, the broker named on Vouch’s current site. Older Vouch terms still list both producers; do not conflate their NPNs or infer current underwriting ownership from the older name.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Hiscox announced an agreement in August 2025 to acquire Corix Insurance Services, LLC and Vouch Insurance Company, while Vouch would remain an independent broker with a multi-year Hiscox distribution agreement. Hiscox’s 2025 annual report records the Corix acquisition closing on August 11, 2025. [30](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/news/press-releases/2025/06-08-25-1 "Hiscox Agrees to Acquire US-Based Specialist Insurtech") [31](https://www.hiscoxgroup.com/sites/group/files/2026-03/Hiscox_report_and_accounts_2025.pdf "Hiscox Report and Accounts 2025") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Acquirer announcement covers both named entities; audited annual-report note 25 explicitly confirms Corix closing. Does not independently establish the separate carrier transfer date, regulatory approval or any particular policy migration.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Corix’s January 2025 legal disclosure still describes it as part of Vouch, even though the same page now displays Hiscox branding. Hiscox’s later annual report records the acquisition. The older ownership paragraph should not be used to describe the current Vouch brokerage. | Access to insurers | The posted Digital Media Tech application names Beazley Insurance Company, Inc. Beazley’s broader disclosures also describe surplus-lines business through Beazley Excess and Surplus Insurance, Inc. or Beazley-managed Lloyd’s syndicates. The actual MediaTech insurer and California placement basis must be identified in the quote. [2](https://www.beazley.com/globalassets/product-documents/application/digital-mediatech-application-form.pdf "Beazley Digital Media Tech Application") [7](https://www.beazley.com/globalassets/product-documents/beazley-us-contingency-toolkit.pdf "US Contingency Toolkit") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Application F00859 042022 and general US toolkit disclosure; no blanket insurer assignment.; verified: 2026-09-16.) | Corix’s disclosures name State National Insurance Company, Inc. for its admitted offerings and United Specialty Insurance Company for certain surplus-lines offerings. These are Corix program disclosures; they do not identify the insurer on every policy placed by Vouch. [33](https://www.corixinsurance.com/legal/disclosures "Corix Disclosures") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Company-described insurer relationships only, not independent verification of admitted status or product authority. No current complete Vouch product/carrier/state matrix found.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Corix’s public management liability application names United Specialty Insurance Company. It offers directors and officers, employment practices and fiduciary liability selections, with a warning about claims-made liability and defense costs reducing the limit unless endorsed otherwise. | Servicing and renewals | Beazley publishes a MediaTech renewal application. The reviewed renewal form and product page do not establish a guaranteed renewal, dedicated account manager, or turnaround commitment for policy changes. [4](https://www.beazley.com/globalassets/product-documents/application/beazley-media-tech-renewal-app-us.pdf "Beazley MediaTech Renewal Application") [1](https://www.beazley.com/en-US/products/small-business-solutions-usa/mediatech-for-small-businesses/ "MediaTech for Small Businesses") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Public renewal document and service description; no policyholder account or service performance tested.; verified: 2026-09-16.)

Full Spectrum Cyber for small businesses combines Beazley Breach Response with security tools and services. Beazley describes incident-response coordination and discounted vendor services. Its myBeazley quote-and-bind route is for brokers handling accounts below $35 million in revenue and limits no higher than $5 million; these are cyber-route criteria, not MediaTech eligibility rules. [9](https://www.beazley.com/en-us/products/small-business-solutions-usa/cyber-breach-solutions-small-businesses "Full Spectrum Cyber for Small Businesses") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Small-business Full Spectrum Cyber only; services, costs and entitlements depend on actual arrangements.; verified: 2026-09-16.) | Vouch offers a complimentary coverage review that it describes as identifying gaps and comparing a program with industry peers. It also offers reviews of insurance requirements in leases, customer agreements and funding arrangements. [38](https://www.vouch.us/services/comprehensive-coverage-review "Comprehensive Coverage Review") [39](https://www.vouch.us/services/contract-requirement-review "Contract Requirement Review") (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Service descriptions; no independent proof of completeness, savings or satisfaction of a specific contract.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Vouch says customers can request certificates of insurance through their account and include a third party in the request. A certificate summarizes insurance; the policy and any required endorsements determine that third party’s actual coverage. (Evidence: Company-reported; scope: Published COI workflow and distinction between holder and additional insured. Account access and turnaround not tested.; verified: 2026-09-15.)

Vouch says it coordinates documentation, communication and renewal cycles across carriers. Its renewal guide asks buyers to prepare updated financials, claims history and business changes, starting 30–60 days before renewal. That is preparation guidance, not a guaranteed service timetable or automatic renewal commitment.
